Both great games...two completely different genres so it is impossible to compair them. Graphics of both are great but if pressed I would say Uncharted is ever so slightly better. Both AAA's in my book.

Mass Effect is nothing short of astounding to me so far...easily one of the best games I've played in recent memory (kinda tied with Galaxy). Uncharted I'm going to be starting next week so we shall see...

Wrexs face up close is incedible and the Citadel are really great looking. I think Mass Effects look is very clean and very well thought out. Yes, the game is not perfect but the planets and roming on moons and seeing the planet in the background is just awesome. I sit in front of my TV stunned by what I'm looking at sometimes.

Tis a silly comparison both games are wildly different. It will depend much more on your individual tastes than the quality of the games.

i prefer mass effect because, well, i prefer RPGs to shooters. ask me which i prefer, crysis or witcher and its witcher for me every time....because i prefer RPGs and witcher is a great RPG.

graphically uncharted takes the title though. mass effect suffers from too many graphical probs to make a proper comparison. i prefer the character models in ME mind (when the textures do decide to kick in....why use the UE3 engine bioware?), but overall uncharted is a better looking game imho.

ive only played the uncharted demo though so if there are graphical probs with the full game then....no idea :S.

Both I think are hard to compare. I like Mass Effect better because it's an RPG by BioWare, and I prefer their art style, but I really like Uncharted, too. I give the edge to ME because I like the way my character is on ME rather than Drake (who is still pretty cool)

Gameplay - Apples to oranges, but I would probably take Mass Effect, it combines two great tastes, WRPG and TPS, and they taste great together.

Graphics - Uncharted, but ME has a great art style and a serious sense of atmosphere. Most of the character models are well done, though some are far better than others. Some have facial movements and lip synching that is fluid and perfect, while others look like poorly constructed animatronic puppets.

Value - Well this is where ME will kill Uncharted for me. I'm already 8 hours in to ME and I feel like I'm only scratching the surface. Even if Uncharted is decent length for an action game, a single play-through of ME is likely to go much longer than multiple play-through of Uncharted.

Mass effect is a bad bad game. I feel so dumb for wasting $60 on it, it is beyond boring, the combat is lame, all you do it watch people talk and talk and talk, and don't even get me started on the glitches (texture pop ins, constant loading, and horrible frame rate) sometimes I wonder if the 360 was the right choice for mass effect to be on. Also get used to watching your character ride in an elevator, you are gonna see it ALOT.

I'd have to give graphics to uncharted. I've never played it (only own a 360). But due to some of the framerate issues with ME Uncharted is a notch above.

I havent played Mass Effect yet, but im playing through Uncharted and its very linear. The puzzles are too easy as well, just not as fun as i thought it would be. But im only around 22% into it, so hopefully it'll get better.

Some parts of mass effect are truly just amazing. of course if you have a HD I would recommend turning off the filter and motion options in graphics. it truly is stunning. for the most part charted seems to be more fluid. the detail is tremendous and it runs at a solid framerate. so I would have to say uncharted graphically is cleaner all around. but Mass Effect easily rivals it in many parts of the game. The design flat out goes to ME. But Uncharted has this certain wow feeling. I think COD4 beats them both though. Some parts of that game are just damn.

Ok if we are talking strickly graphics, uncharted no question, Drake's clothing has physics, and he actually gets wet, and dries over time! It's little details on top of an amazing looking game that make a game truly look good, mass effect uses the unreal engine 3, as well as 20 other games this gen so it kinda looks like everything else.

All JRPGs are way too same-y. ME is incredible, and a perfectly fitting "save the world/galaxy/humanity/universe" type storyline because you play as someone who has that kind of power.

Ive only played uncharted and saw my friend play Mass effect and graphic wise uncharted wins. Its a very very beautiful game. Mass effect though does look really good for an RPG and its the only game i want off of the 360. But uncharted is an amazing game overall and i experienced almost 0 problems with the game.

Mass effect destroys uncharted. Mass Effect is one of the best RPGs to come out in awhile while Uncharted is just another tomb raider with a dude.

Yup.

Uncharted wins in that department. :)

Easily, Someone looking at screenshots may think there close but when played in motion Mass Effect actually isnt nearly as impressive due to framerate problems and texture pop in. Uncharted runs much smoother and the animations are some of the best in any game to date. Both are good looking games and are very fun.( Each are among my favorite on each console. But Uncharted is a better looking game.

Story and character development are the main draws for RPGS. Mass Effect excells at both but has some gameplay/framerate issues. If he really thinks that those things make the game horrible then he obviously doesn't appreciate RPGS for what they are.

Graphically, Uncharted. The game is flat out gorgeous.

Overall though the nod still goes to Mass Effect. Uncharted is pretty short (I'm about 3 hrs in and my save file says I'm 55% done) and Mass Effect is a heck of a lot less linear, meaning there are several different gaming experiences to be had here. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good WRPG and Mass Effect is far better than just "good" so I'm hooked.

Well i played about 50 hours of Mass Effect and about 12 of Uncharted by i dare say those 12 hours of Uncharted were of better quality than the 90% of Mass Effect. As far as visuals go only like the 6 main locales look nice with great detail and great texture variety on Mass Effect, the rest is quite mediocre where as every part of Uncharted looks great though it does suffer the occasional texture pop-in but not nearly to the same degree as Mass Effect. Character models in ME are great only during conversation pieces where they are the least interactive and seldom move but when walking around and/or in combat they switch to low poly mode (compare facial and shoulder/body detail of Shepard and/or crew during elevator scenes vs the conversation set pieces and the difference is remarkable).

Mass Effect looks like a bit boring IMO, space RPG, i'm sorry but they should've paid for Star Ocean 4, you can't make better space RPG's than SO :)...Mass effect - is ok

Uncharted - 2 thumbs up, just too freaking good

Mass Effect had an awesome cast of characters and great writing, much better script than uncharted for certain, what hurt it for me at least was the uninspired filler crap, all those side mission even the ones that related to some of the main chars take place in the same 3 general dungeons; thats right 3 map types with randomly generated interior objects (like crates and such). An example would be a mission involving one of the main chars (teamate), this mission has you chasing a fugitive doctor that said character failed to capture in his past, the rogue doctor harvest human organs that were 'planted' inside unknowing employees and sold them in the black market. This sounded like an awesome mission, even the mentioned team member requested that i have him in the party when i departed to infiltrate the fortified hide-out of the evil doctor that has elluded capture for years. It turns out this mission is identical to 20 other mission done in the exact same 'dungeon' (+/- a crate or barrel) with the same crappy enemies that ALWAYS attack from the same rooms as all those previous missions with the main difference being a different name on the planet (don't get me started on the planets). Now imagine doing 20 more missions just like those mentioned but on another map 20 times again, and then 20 more... Uncharted suffers from no such thing... (though jetski lvls were almost getting there)
