I can't wait to see the game in motion. Heck, my favorite E3 moment was when I realized that the video I was watching was not a cut-scene but actual gameplay. Naughty Dog are the kings of PS3 hardware.

That's a delusional statement, all this is proving is that Uncharted 2 is a much greater achievement compared to that of the first one. Unlike the sequel to that first game you so mentioned. Delsage

Uncharted looks far better in reality then it does in those screens you posted, not sure where you got them from.

Well I'll be :o They actually made the game look better graphically then Uncharted which is an amazing looking game. Those egg-heads at Naughty Dog have really outdone themself.

Nathan Drake wears the coolest shirts.

Another series of games where it looks better in motion than in screenshots, the leap between the 2 games is pretty big though.

Uncharted imitating Gears of War? Are you delusional or something? They're not even in the same genre. Gears is a shooter and Uncharted is a Action-Adventure game. Uncharted was a lot more like Tomb Raider then it was Gears.

If Gears of War didn't completely rip off Resident Evil 4 your argument might have some merit.

Try harder Fox McCloud, Gears wasn't anywhere near the first third person shooter ever made and it won't be the last.

problem is that resident evil 4 did not have gunplay that was anything like gears, nor did it feature a cover system. for god's sake, you couldnt even MOVE AND SHOOT in that game. i'd love to know how GeoW ripped RE4 off. maybe you should try harder eh? ;)

uncharted, on the other hand, plays VERY SIMILAR to GeoW. the cover system is nearly identical, the gunplay is similar and they feature many arena-like shootouts. GeoW popularized the TPS cover system every game seems to have. is it so bad that uncharted used it too? tons of other games play like Gears of War, i dont see what the big deal is.

no, GeoW wasnt the first TPS, but its influence on Uncharted is easily seen

Good comparison, ND sure are some very talented devs. One thing I liked about Uncharted was watching his shirt move as he ran, nice attention to detail. Im hoping for a longer, more challenging game in U2. Especially the climbing/puzzles.

The skin of all the characters in uncharted2 looks like shiny plastic, I personally think all except for one of those sets of pictures looks better for uncharted1.

Yeah GAF posters do a good job with comparison screens, although some are early shots from the Game Informer print.

I liked this one in particular.

Putting them side by side like this just makes me think, no way.....
