Under the radar/underhyped games

What games do you think aren't being talked about much? I have a few that come to mind.

Neon White: GS 9/10

This game caught my attention because it's a Japanese FPS?! I don't know much, but it's been getting great reviews and I want to check it out!

Skull & Bones

This game was announced a while back, and is an off-shoot of Assassins Creed Black Flag. Let's see how it goes!

Saints Row reboot

It's Saints Row. We haven't had one in a long time. Yea this is a reboot, but I'll continue to keep my expectations low.

And those are three under the radar/underhyped games that come to my mind! How about you, SW? What games make your list? And what do you think of the ones above?

Did you put an ubisoft title under "underhyped"? This game will launched BROKEN AS ****. It is well deserved that its getting no attention. You look at their latest dev update video, and its nothing else but PR bullshit. Such a hollow garbage of a video game. Everything what's wrong with Ubisoft will be included as a feature in this title.

And that Woke saints row? TC is on something🥱

On thread, i think Callisto deserves more hype. Looking at the views count on youtube, its not as high as it should be, especially after hearing people asking for a true Dead Space-like title for so long.

Doubt anyone else here cares about it but I'm really looking forward to Call of the Wild: The Angler, an open world fishing game/sim.

an indie game The Pale Beyond is also looking really promising

Skull and Bones could be quite good. Have no interest in Neon White or Saints Row reboot.

Feels like Exoprimal should have more hype behind it.

Just go fishing irl, no point to do it in games. Can't think of a single game where fishing was done well.

I do every opportunity I get but I like the idea of exploring and finding cool lakes to fish in in a game, even if the actual fishing mechanics are underwhelming

if both release this year going to be best games this year but mainstream media wont hype it.

I am myself very much looking forward to both of those games.

The Last of Us Part I. Remake of the greatest game of all time.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide. Vermintide 1 and 2 were amazing, arguably the best coop-vs-horde shooter since L4D. Can't wait for the Warhammer 40K version of it.

Ready or Not: old-school Rainbow Six vibe.

Wartales. Medieval mercenary management game with turn-based tactics. By the folks that brought us the amazing Northgard and the upcoming Dune: Spice Wars. Seems a lot like Mount and Blade, but with some large changes to combat and management.

and last but not least, Farthest Frontier by the great Crate Entertainment. Survival-city builder.

Skull and Bones? Come on dude. First, it's from Ubisoft. Second, it's basically a glorified ship section from AC: Black Flag.

Saint's Row? Neither me nor anyone I know or care about is looking forward to that.

The right answer is Darktide.

It actually happens on a regular basis that i am looking at certain good or even great games that flew under my radar for quite some time, let alone those being underhyped.

The downside of when a market is getting "Who´s playing all that shit!?"-too big, wich is also a reason for more and more rather "good" multiplayer-only games already failing at their release date and being shut-down one year later...or even earlier.

With so many titles to choose from, the list of underhyped games or games flying under the radar is getting too big as well and thanks to STEAM, there are additonally another approx. +10000000 titles to choose from...those 3 bucks one-man-dev asset-productions where i am actually asking myself "Who da fu** is playing it, let alone buying that crap???" especially looking at certain title-thumbnails where they used some screenshot while throwing some ugly and cheap looking title-font on top of it...usually into the left upper corner to make it look more like a meme than an actual game, probably so that those funny meme-people are falling for it.

Steam deck too...! Xbox, Playstation and switch games.... Oh my! 🦁

We already know everything about the game.... I've played it through 3 times already.

Soul Hackers 2 is looking like a sleeper hit!

@TheEroica: You beat the upcoming remake three times?

Probably just me but Gundam Evolution seems to be flying under the radar for a lot of people. Did the closed testing on Steam a few months back and had a blast with a buddy who also got in. Bit of a learning curve for each mobile suit/Gundam but once you get into the groove it's a ton of fun to play as a hero shooter that pulls from various eras of Gundam history.

Feels like a lot of the previews that go up are someone's first few rounds and they have no idea what they are doing or how to play to their suit's strengths.

Didn't see anything that could lean into P2W mechanics or anything like that. Cosmetics appear to be the only purchasable items with actual currency though I'm sure they will limit mobile suit/Gundam selection allowing you to buy the ones you want so you can play if they aren't in rotation. But no weapons purchases or stat altering equips or anything like that.

Map designs were also good with none really feeling like they were poorly setup or favored one side over the other. Plenty of choke points for clashes that require good attack and defense strategies on both sides.

Hoping it finds success when it finally releases later this year.

Splatoon 3 hasn’t been getting any love here, but I can’t wait! And while not exactly under appreciated games, I‘m really excited to play the next Madden and NBA 2K on the Steam Deck.
