Got the game last Jan on my PS3 and its a blast... fast & frantic action... Its a great game and with all the mods being released its even better...

Still the 360 version is still a few months away...

PS3's controller is better. Anyway PS3 has kb/m support:)

ps3's controller is horrible for FPS.....and kb/m are only good if you are playing on monitor and sitting right next to it, playing on tv which is a bit away from you using kb/m is kinda uncomfortable

after I read many comments on how the Xbox360 controller is better etc, had the chance to spend a few hours at my mates house playing on his 360... and I have to admit that the sixaxis / DS3 is way better... Probably am not used with the 360 controller, but still i prefare DS3 it feels much better and the D-pad on the 360 controller just feels bad...

I was gonna say... from years of playing fp's on the PC's, I don't really see a difference between the 360 controller and PS3 cotroller for fps's.bf2nutta

The cool thing is that the PS3 version does support Keyboard and Mouse.

I don't think they said anything official about UT3 not having any mods on 360. I did how ever found this on Wikipedia about X360 UT3 "In an interview with Official Xbox Magazine at Midway's 2008 Gamer Day, Rein confirmed that mod content would be available in the 360 version, but said details were still being finalised."

It also said "In an interview with TeamXbox, Mark Rein, the Vice President of publishers Epic Games mentioned that problems with Microsofts' Xbox Live team were holding back some areas of production. The review cites "Microsoft's strict rules for Xbox Live, which in its current form won't accept user-generated content for the game." as the source of the delays. Rein goes on to say "Microsoft hasn't said "no" yet, but then they haven't said "yes" either." Rein explained. "We need them to say "yes," and we need them to do it soon." The 360 version will have 5 Exclusive maps, 2 Exclusive Characters, a 2 Player Splitscreen Multiplayer mode and all the downloadable content released by Epic already on the Disc.

So if M$ didn't say yes to the mods than this game would still be in limbo. The fact that it has a release date means there will be mods on the 360.

Bitter about what? I own a high end gaming PC and a 360. I am in gaming Nirvana especially with my PC. UT3 is just vile. Its almost as if Epic was playing a joke on gamers in general, but doubly so to PC gamers. Their game sucked THAT bad.

Actually, isn't it "an" and not an "a" X-box 360? You spell the letter "X" with a vocal so by rule it should be "an X-box 360".

UT3 was disappointing for me.

However, that's only in comparison to it's predecessors, it's still a good game. Rent it or get the demo before you make a purchase.

OMG its far better then halo.

Well, UT used to be the cream of the crop of twitch shooters and now the FPS genre has switched over to more strategy, slow paced combat. Now all of a sudden UTIII is kind of by itself in the twitch arena, but it also reminds me of how UT 2003 made me feel. The game feels like it has something missing even though its a solid game and I dont know if we'll see another UT anytime soon unless the game sells well on the X360.

I plan on buying the x360 version even though it will probably only get hand picked mods through DLC.

Well if you want a game that looks like Gears of War and plays as a fast and furious Tournament FPS then by all means buy it, just keep in mind that there isn't really any kind of story line to the single player mode, it's just basically a bunch of training missions to prepare you for all the modes of online play...So if your ok with that then yeah buy it, i have it on my PS3 and i have no complaints...it's a great game.

probably as there aren't very many nz/au servers and europe/america is mostly asleep when its evenings here

It's fine for FPS... the misconception is there to cover the 360's D-Pad, which REALLY is atrocious.

Oh i see, so you play games on a platform nobody cares about (PC) and you own the most faulty, unreliable console hardware that exist this gen (360), so you haven't actually played the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3, which if i read correctly was this guy's question, he wasn't asking about your opinion of the PC version which i'm sure you don't own based on your opinion of the game, so you are therefore unqualified to respond to this post.

Go play your high end PC or 360 until you go back to work monday at Microsoft ok, we could care less about your opinions on a game you never played.
