^ you realize that the latest star oceans (that came to the us) and ffs sold better in the U.S.? Hell, the majority of games sell better in the U.S. than japan, it's just a bigger market.

Look at the sales of Tales, FF, etc.- look at the region selling

And you know all those ps2 rpgs? The japanese didn't "eat them up". Most sold very poorly. That includes Disagea.

The only JRPG series that really sells best in Japan is Dragonquest.

You're worng, final fantasy is like a religion in japan, it sold 2.3 million units in four days, the u.s probably 500,000. And star ocean 4 will not get any sales in japan whch is bad becasue for a game to be successsfull it needs to do good in all areas.

The company isn't stupid, they know what they are doing. Microsoft probably has or will compensate them.

FF10 sold about 3 million in japan and 2 million in the us and 2 million in the rest of the world. Meaning it sold more outside japan.

Why in the heck do so many people on here feel that the 360 needs Japan? Last time I read census numbers we do out number Japan by a significant margin somewhere along the lines of 170 million. If a game that was once PS1 or 2 goes to 360, and the Japanese don't want to buy the 360 well that's fine with me. Me personally I don't care where the games come from long as they are good I'm good. So if people won't get a 360 to play SO4, Infininte Undiscovery, etc. that's their loss, just like it's my loss not have a PS3 for MGS4 but.......I think I'm going to live.

It's different, real time combat and all, if it means anything, Star Ocean: Til The End Of Time is my all time favourite game.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it, it's a love/hate game I've heard, but, I loved it, thought the characters were very nicely fleshed out, and weren't generic, really enjoyed the storyline, loved the combat and inventory systems, was a really special game to me.

What did Halo sell in Japan? Thought so.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it, it's a love/hate game I've heard, but, I loved it, thought the characters were very nicely fleshed out, and weren't generic, really enjoyed the storyline, loved the combat and inventory systems, was a really special game to me.

Yeah, P3 is killer, I had it, but, I sold it when FES came out, because I obviously got FES :P

You know what was funny? I sold my p3 for 4x the price of a brand new copy of P3: FES, so, I essentially got FES + 2 other games free.
