Unfortunately for him, a new patch recently came out, with a bunch of new achievements. Some of those achievements are currently impossible to obtain, and with a new expansion on the way, even more achievements will be introduced. He simply cannot win. =P

Like I said, the game wins you.. That guy is the poster boy to how the game has devoured his life.

Um, I am a RL friend of this dude, he's currently serving in the army (it's compulsory in Taiwan) and is an honor graduate from the best university in Taiwan. Companies are chasing after him with manager-level jobs also, he's got a fiancee. I am sure he won the game :P instead of being devoured by it. Beside, getting all the achievements requires an insane amount of dedication + planning + social skill (since most of the achievements are not solo able). If you are able to do this, I am sure you will succeed easily in life.

Haha I know how you feel, I was bullied by that game too couldn't even get past the second stage when I unlock these NES game in Ninja Gaiden. Another game that feel unbeatable was the Battletoad games. I really hate the the platforming for this game, since I can never time it right... very frustrating to say the least.

He spent at least 5 hours a day playing the game, every day.. If that isn't being devoured by the game, I don't know what is.. The article alluded to him playing upwards to 8 hours at days..
