Just to put it simple:
Which one is better at playing games?

A ps3 or a pc with a Q6600, 2GB RAM and a 8800 GT 512 MB

I would only have to buy a 8800GT and a PSU, so the pc would cost as much as the ps3.

I have that exact same setup currently in my rig. You'll be sitting pretty with that for a long time. For me at least, although I have a PS3 as well, I would choose PC all the way.

Depends on what games you want. For me, though, it's PC no contest.

in terms of power, the PC your talking about defenitly rocks.

im confronted to make the same choice as you. the PS3 is great only if you have a wide screen 40" + in front of your sofa, the resolution is greate, you can browse internet in the comfort of your living room and the bluRay movies are a luxury that you should have.

if playing in the living room is not possible for you, or if you want more choice of game titles and more gfx then the pc is the ultimate choice.
