Us 360 guys stop bashing the PS3

Ok being a 360 fan I've done this myself in the past , but then one day last week .............. I bought a PS3 ! :o

And so far I'm impressed, I only have 3 games at the moment - Motorstorm, F1 and RFOM , I'm blown away by the graphics ( RFOM not so much but still good, I thought it would be better since people were hyping it next to Geow ..but GeOW is better but the large multiplayer on RFOM is pretty good), Motorstorm and F1 are better than virtually anything I've seen on 360, the graphics seems clearer and more realistic somehow , may have something to do with HDMI.

Sony need to improve online functionalities though, and they definetely should have included a headset but you can use usb or bluetooth headset so it's not so bad , it just means not as many people play with headsets online. Saying that I've never had problems finding or connecting to any online games so it's still ok.

Anyway , I think us 360 fans should cut the PS3 guys (of which I am now 1) some slack , you can argue that comparable games so far (apart from oblivion ) have been better on 360, but lets not forget that they are still 1st gen games after all. Besides Motorstorm has the best racing graphics I've seen, another thing I've noticed about the PS3 is no framerate slowdown ...ever , no matter how much is happening on screen it never chugs. It's also better made than the 360 , it's never locked up and it looks a slick peice of kit under your TV not to mention ALOT quieter.

So I think 360 fans should start giving the PS3 some respect (and vice versa), cos I think 2nd gen games for the ps3 will start to look awesome and after that who know I think it MAY have more potential than 360 :o !!

Yeah PSP is way ahead now (not in sales) but in everythin else, I was playing Burnout Legends just before and thought how awesome it was for a handheld game !!go_rambo_ftw

I have personally never bashed the PS3. Criticized it for being expensive and it's forced implimentation of Blu Ray? Yes. Made predictions that it would not have the #1 spot in market share like PS2 did? Yes. But that's just stating it's too expensive to be #1 this gen, and not say I'm calling it a bad product.

I have never said things like "the hardware is crap", I know it performs well.

I have never said "PS3 graphics suck compared to X360", though I did point out enough times they aren't living up to the promise Sony set up in E3 05 and aren't a quantum shift above 360 graphics. I say PS3 and X360 are graphically equal.

I have never bashed its games, in fact I've given praise to MGS4, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, DMC4 (even before it was ever known to be coming to X360). PS3 has it's own good library just as X360 does, and in fairness, PS3 has only been here 4 months.

So that's my take on it. If people prefer PS3 as their gaming platform, I respect that choice - and would ask PS3 players return the courtesy and not make idiotic biased remarks like "PSN owns Live", "360 controller is crap because no sixaxis and rumble", calling it "Xflop 1.5", "X360 is a shooter only console" (yeah I'm talking to YOU shungokustasu).

you know what guys i think the thread owner is open-minded. Not that he bought the PS3 but actualy he is enjoying most current gen systems rather than being a fanboy and missing all the fun that each system offers. But anyway this is SW u will always see a small brained kid opening a thread to show false facts about a system. However its nice to make a thread to discuss opinions rather than insulting each other.

Small difference. You still imply that X360 has no variety in it's genres, no matter how much evidence is thrown your way by me and many other posters when ever this gets brought up. I can bring up so many games that are Racing, Strategy, Action, RPG, Adventure, Fighter.... and you'd STILL say X360 is primarily a shooter platform, or that it's other genres are greatly underscored, or that we 360 gamers don't pay any attention to non-shooter games. All of which is complete BS.

I once gave you credit for not being a fanboy Shungo, but I can see I was very much mistaken about that. And partnering with you for that Fighters poll is my biggest mistake.

I really think that if the PS3 is even only a partial success then it will be beneficial to the whole industry.

The fact that having 3 consoles that are all successes will force each and every company to think of new and exiting ways of providing us entertainment.

Yeah I thought it was over priced before I bought one, but that extra money is for Blueray player and larger hard drive, plus it's manufacture quality is much better than the 360. Plus over the next few years I think the ps3 will make use of the extra storage on blueray for games. Once the initial outlay of an extra couple hundred dollars which over the lifetime of the console is only say $25 extra a year I think you get what you pay for, now that I've bought it I don't regret spending the extra for it. Now I have a choice of 360 and PS3 games .... which is nice .
