Shouldnt we (gamers) be happy there are 3 console manufacturers giving us 3 great consoles + handhelds to choose from ?

I say lets hope all 3 keep their support to the gaming industry and compete against each other, competition is always a positive thing..

I don't think so as I find more than enough people that started gaming with the PS1 to be people I dislike.

As a fan of Nintendo I can not say I'd like to team up with Sony fans. I'd actually rather team up with Microsoft fans.

10/10 Made me giggle.

Even though I prefer my PS3 to the 360 I still like the fact the 360 is out on the market. If a person looking to buy a games console didn't like having to pay for all the extra features in the PS3 that they won't use, then they could get a 360 for a lot less and then decide to buy a wireless add on if they really needed it.

And since when did Microsoft ruin gaming, Halo, Gears of War, Fable are all great games that I wish I could play. :)

Sony and Nintendo did not make gaming. There were consoles out before the NES and the PS1. Please do some research before posting such a stupid topic. What did you hope to achieve? Like one guy on a gaming website can ban Microsoft from making consoles. :|

Nintendo remade console gaming. You may ask, but that's not an achievement? Really? The market HATED console gaming and Nintendo was the only company that had the balls to get it out there again after Atari completely ruined it.

Meh, Sony to me is worse then MS. Not that I don't like their stuff, if they go through with a pricecut I'd def get a PS3. But the only major thing Sony did right was use new media (CDs/DVDs... everything that is on current gen controllers was introduced into the mainstream by Nintendo, from analog, wireless, rumble, D-pad, shoulder buttons, and the basic design... and pretty much ALL gaming genres on consoles were defined by Nintendo...), it was Nintendo's idiocy that helped Sony. Of course, many amazing games are on Sony platforms, but a part from Team Ico, most gaming achievements on Sony's platforms have been from third parties rather first party like Nintendo. That is an advantage and a disadvantage, but as a company Nintendo has given more to gaming then Sony ever will.

Far from it, if M$ didnt enter the console market, Sony would probably not give two hoots about improving PSN back when it launched. Which was mind you, a POS online service.

Also, the 360 has it fairshare of good games, it just doesnt have enough new AA,AAA exclusives this year.

Perhaps Sony should try to get some more third party games in this Gen to reclaim some losses in that way. But in no way should Nintendo and Sony team up and such, this is buissness its a warzone , they are all tearing eachover apart, but lately microsoft seems to have fallen into a pothole with their first party support and exclusives , but still have their amazing line up of third party games which they are relying on quite a bit lately, if Sony can somehow get a nice third party line up going, they could theoretically dominate the next year or so.

While the wii hasn't really dont much wrong at all, they have had the greatest third party support of them all, but lately it seems their sales are starting to fall as the generation of wii gamers seems to be washing out. As im sure you all know most of the wiis sales came from children, i think lately children have been buying ps3 and xbox 360 consoles instead, i have actually just seen this change from just seeing kids talking about it on the street XD. Well at least thats my opinon :D

GOTY does not indicate the better library, the number of AAA and AA titles do (as well as AAAA if you're lucky enough).
