i have both a 360 and a custom pc well capable of playing todays games at high settings with a playable framerate. (8600gt)

however im thinking of just selling my 360 and playing the same games such as assassins creed and devil may cry 4 for my pc when they come out.. i would end up playing them with a 360 controller.. i just love that 360 controller feel..

but is this a wise choice?? or should i continue paying 10 bucks extra for every game and stick wit them on my 360?? details and support for ur answer is appreciated

you'll need to buy a MS wireless recieved adapter for your PC if your 360 controller is wireless.

I'd say go with your PC. If you sell your Xbox, think of how many games you could buy. Also, remember that while it is great to play the latest games, with your PC you have access to all the old great titles too. The games are plentiful, great, and very inexpensive. With your rig, you'll be able to max older games out there is great gameplay to be enjoyed.

So, with your PC, you can enjoy a huge, vast library of games, with older titles being cheaper, and newer titles cheaper than console games too. Plus, many titles have mods, maps and what not that are free to download. That is another bonus of PC gaming too.

I have to agree here, dmc3 was very poorly optimized for the pc. Why don't you just keep both that way you can play whatever multiplats you want depending on wich version is better, on top of that you can play mass effect, halo 3, fable 2, ninja gaiden 2 and the other exclusive games coming to the 360. Atleast thats what im doing now altough i think my pc might need an upgrade soon.

650w PSU? Are you planning to upgrade your GPU later? (there's no point in SLI 8600 GT) What Core 2 Duo by the way? And is that 1300 usd? 1300 usd would be way too much for that PC.

I recommend to go with PC. There's no point in having two systems for the same games. And I believe that PC gets more exclusive games than 360 does.

To begin with, I don't know about you running today's games on high setting with an 8600GT because I don't think you can. Now if you had an 8800GTS or 8800GT, I would not hesitate selling that 360 if you don't care about Halo or Mass Effect. See, the 8600GT will do ok as long as you're not playing at very high resolution, like for example I don't think you'll be able to acheive a playable frame rate out of it if you're gonna play COD4 on 1680x1050 with 4xAA, anyway, if you can upgrade your card to at least an 8800GT, you should sell your 360 and sure as heck you can play the games with your 360 controller.

*looks at his 6600 gt* lol

but yea there's a lot of good things on the pc to last. if theres not a lot of exclusives on the 360 that interests you, then sell it.

Depends.

I got a good PC and a 360 with a big fat plasma and 5.1 sound system in the living room. Wouldnt ever wanna trade that for my PC in my dark, gloomy room.

But if u dont have a good HDTV + sound system then the xbox 360 is meh (same for PS3).
HDTVs have lower res than a PCmonitor, but to me games on my plasma look much better and sharper. Gears of War on the PC has more detailed textures, but it doesnt feel that way when my head is 20 inches away from my PCmonitor, i can see the jaggies -_-.
