Using the controller is the weakest excuse anyone can use to not get something

everyone has their preference and may be going off-topic, but I just don't understand why people have such a hard time with console controllers I can understand something as radical asKB&M but the PS3 and 360 button layouts are so similar I don't know why people even bring it up. IMO its just an excuse, and this person is not expressing their real reasons.

To me the differences are more cosmetic than anything. I mean my right thumb as 4 buttons, both index and middle fingers have 4 shoulder buttons/triggers. Samething.

I'm so focused on playing a game that I don't even think about what I have in my hands. When I see an enemy try to flank me from the right, I think:

" Pop this guy in the head! and I do it. "

When you play games, do you think about what button you're going to press? Would you think:

"Turn analog stickright, press shoot button." for that same enemy?

I can understand when you first play a game, but for the most part my brain skips the whole controller process and goes stright to gameplay actions.

The only argument I can see is fighting games, because the 360 D-pad is kind of off and PS3 controllers do have their analog sticks on the sameaxis.

I like the controller better (and the console it's intended for), sounds like a strong excuse to me.

Sometimes some controllers just don't fit a type of genre, like 360s and fighting games or PS3s and FPSs, at least in my opinion. Then again, there are so many variations for most controllers that it never really matters.

Sometimes little details piss people off.

I hate playing games on my friends computer because his middle mouse button doesn't stick out as much as mine does, and I like to map the use key to the MMB. So when I try to open a door I accidentally press fire or melee, or I just have to remap the key to a button I'm not used to. Lose-lose situation.

*Shrug* People are just particular, I guess.

This thread has nothing to do PC and KB&M. Its about PS3 and 360. But I do find it amusing, I can point out who didn't read my post, or at least the first sentence :)

the only time i didn't get a console was with the 1st xbox and the original "duke" controllers that were enormous. i ended up buying a xbox when the s controllers came out. but other than that a controller never stopped me from picking up a console.

The only controller that every gave me troubles, was the 64 controller. That thing is so big and akward, it's not even funny.

Besides that, I quickly adapt to any other controller very quickly.

The hermits try to fool people into thinking KB/M have a massive level of quality over controllers. It's a load of crap from elitist snobs that's all. The only real controllers I could see sucking, are 3rd party controllers, and the original XBox controller and Jaguar controller. Hermits want you to believe using controllers is somehow a crime against mankind and one of the worst possible things you could ever do. In other words they're just blowing some smoke. It's just another sign of envy, and quite putzy, to be perfectly honest.
