UT3 for PS3 Graphics don't look that good to me

dang 1up failed to mention all mighty gears was 30 fps on 360 and also a mega DUH its pc its suppose to look better other then that it cant justify the hughe price for this gaming rigs. actully nothing really justifies the price.

Didn't they say it was running at 60fps...not sure. But I have to disagree with the womens statement on that one. I mean wtf My PC has 2GB ram and geforce 7600 and quadcore intel..and it doesn't even look that good as I saw in the video....I am sure my PC is low end.

They are aiming for 30 fps for the ps3 version of ut3.0, and it did not look as good as gear last time they showed the ps3 version a few months ago.

The 60 fps for ps3 rumor started when they demoed the ps3 version some time ago. One journalist thought it looked smooth (it was but the level was kind of empty), so he asked if it ran at 60 fps, the dev said they did not know what fps it ran at since the fps was not looked and hence it was possible that that level ran at 60 fps. Thats the start of the 60 fps rumor, and a few days later Epic made a statement where they said that it will be 30 fps.

ya PS3 version is 30 FPS yet still doesn't come close to the PC version graphically..

While CoD4 has just as much action going on(with Air-strikes,Helecopters, 16 players) yet it runs at 60 FPS and will look as good as the PC version(almost)

It's pretty safe to say the Unreal Engine isn't well built for the PS3 right now

Your PC is clearly a Media PC .. Quad Core and 2 GBs is excellent for multitasking, but your graphics card isnt even designed for gaming in mine really, low-end gaming + high end Media.

The PC Beta Demos is locked at medium settings DX9, while the retail will have Ultra High Settings DX10.

My system is the same as yours nearly but with a 8800 and its locked at 60 FPS, for the life of me I cant get it to drop below 58 with maximum bots and randomly spawning 5x the ammount of vehicles via the console ;)

btw if anyone doesnt know yet, on the Beta Demo, you can spawn vehicles not shown on the maps via the console , some of them lack sounds however , and things like the leviathan are not there :( (shame)

The PS3 uses a slightly lower performance 7900GT, which is fully capable of running the PC demo at 60fps at 720p (1280*720). If the PS3 cant run the game better then low settings and 30fps then its 100% the cells fault.Cali3350

its not the cells fault but the lack of RAM. Anyway the game is locked at 30fps but who cares. The rate will be smooth and not choppy thats all that matters. I remember when no one even knew what fps a game ran in let alone even cared. Now its the "benchmark" for a good game...

Gamespot said the PS3 version looked identical to a highend pc running it so your pretty much self owned.We could care less what the pasty girl says in the 1up video who has never played the pc version to do a comparison while here at Gamespot they did a side by side comparison. So if the PS3 version doesnt look good neither will the pc version on a high end DX9 card. Its also been stated to look better then Gears on the PS3.

That woman will say anything to avoid getting a ps3. Notice how she says she would buy a PC for the game but not a ps3. It would cost more to get a PC that runs the game as good as the PS3 version than it would to buy a ps3($400 model).

ive maxed the demo out on my pc and it looks great but on low it would be a joke,hopefully this is not true..

edit: i dont know what they are talking about casue that look pretty nice to me after playing the pc version.even though its only a small video screen but still..

Yeah, I remeber that too. If you want to test this out just get Doom (first one) and play the game on today's computers. It's like fast forwarding through the whole game becuase its running such high fps lol.

I lauged hard when i saw that. That lady is full of **** She doesn't have a clue what she is talking about. The graphics on the ps3 have been said to look almost identical to the PC version with the PC running a kick ass video card.

The lady in that clip is obviously very bias against the PS3. I saw the speed of gameplay on the PS3 and it is reminicent of the speed in UT99. It's perfect for a console.

Do a search on my previous posts guys, I'm one person who has done a lot of research into UT3 and how it will play on various systems--that is, I've read and seen pretty much everything on the game. I can tell you that without a doubt this game will be awesome on the PS3 and PC when it is released.
