Well, here it is, the official announcement!

EPIC AND MIDWAY ANNOUNCE UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3 PC HAS GONE GOLD

All-New Cinematics Trailer Now Available

Midway and Epic today announced that Unreal Tournament 3 has gone to gold master for the PC. Developed by the team behind the critically acclaimed video game Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3 is currently scheduled to ship in North America on November 19th for the PC with a suggested retail price of $49.95 and $59.95 for the collector's edition. The PlayStation®3 version will follow soon. Unreal Tournament fans can get a taste of the compelling first person shooter by checking out the single-player trailer, or downloading the beta demo.

Unreal Tournament 3 marks the return of the world's premiere first-person shooter to the PC, and its debut on PlayStation® 3. According to Midway the plan is to ship in the US on the 19th and in Europe on the 22nd. We don't have dates for the PS3 version yet but we're putting the finishing touches on it now and it is going to be great.

OK, what about PS3. Shouldnt it be coming out at the same time as the PC? I thought they were basically done with this game on PS3. black_awpN1

I think midway confirmed that the ps3 version was delayed till 08

Midway stated this date as a worse case senario to its investors. However no official delay was announce by the company that makes the game, aka Epic. Mark Rein has stated that it could still come out in November or December. Since no date was ever given (only a month and year) for a PS3 release, hte game is technicaly not delayed.

From what i heard they are delaying it cause they are putting in the rest of the pc maps that they originally left out since they found that they had enough space to put the rest of the pc maps on.

I was playing FarCry one night and my computer crashed. I rebooted and loaded the game back up andall I got was a smearing effect on the screen. It might (probably) be hardware related but don't havce the money or another card to find out.The funny thing is I can play a certain number of games without the smearing effect. Like UT2k4, Quake 4, HL2 and E1. But Civ4, Orange Box, UT3demo plus morewon't work right.

and 500x the skill? UT isn't for everyone, that's for sure. If you're bad at FPS games, someone with more experience will absolutely cream you.
