Is that for the PS3 versions only or all platforms? I hope whatever online gaming service you have can keep up with this fast pace shooter.
Dosen't matter, cows don't have friends.butteater86lol, but seriously was kinda hoping to get my son and his friends that come over to play Halo 3 splitscreen, into UT3. Doesn't look like thats possible. MAybe X360 version will have splitscreen.

halo is 640p with zero anti aliasing, no wonder.
Thats PATHETIC.
I love splitscreen, and so do my friends when they pop in for a visit!
Hopefully the 360 version ships with it :)
Doesn't matter, cows don't have friends.butteater86I was kind of hoping to play split screen with my friend while he waits for his 360 to get back from the repair shop. Oh well. It would be worse if this game had an amazing single player campaign. I would miss having co-op like Halo3.

Didn't UT3 Flop?
This game is gonna be soo much better on the 360.

Pulling out the fanboy crystal ball are you;). You would have no way of knowing that at this moment, and not having split-screen doesn't mean it would be worse, only different. It is like saying this game is going to be soo much better on the PS3 because of free online. This game is amazing, and I bet you it would be equally as awesome on both consoles. Won't be able to touch the PC version, but will still be an amazing multiplat.

nobody plays splitscreen except for wii kids.
bull ****. I'm 21 and I like to play split screen even on my 360. I don't like it that you have to have two copies of a game to play it with one of my friends especially if one of us does not want to buy the game or if one of us doesnt own a 360 or PS3, and I preffer sitting next to my friend when playing rather then having to be in two different places.

and a faster paced game is harder with spiltscreen, like TF2 on 360 has no splitscreen.
Really? I hadn't tried it because I didnt like it as much as other muliplayer games on the 360.[QUOTE="toxicmog"]no they didn't have to because that game STILL sold over 1 mill copiesmotorstorm didn't either...
or did they fix that?
ermacness
Does that 1 million count the ones that were bundled with the 80 gig? Also I wonder how many people knew that it didnt have split screen when they bought it.

ummm........no!!!!! The reports for motorstorm selling a mill copies went into effect like around May-June, the 80 gig ps3 (the sku that is bundled with motorstorm) didn't go retail until like Aug-Sept[QUOTE="laughingman42"][QUOTE="ermacness"][QUOTE="toxicmog"]no they didn't have to because that game STILL sold over 1 mill copiesmotorstorm didn't either...

Motorstorm was a Big seller for PS3, which was the reason is was chosen TO BE BUNDLED.
There goes the last bit of interest I had in this title.
Splitscreen is awesome. Timesplitters, anyone?
[QUOTE="butteater86"]Doesn't matter, cows don't have friends.BTBAM127
says the guy making fun of someone over the internet.
exactly.
i dislike playing on split-screen, but its a nice feature to have when you have a friends over to play together instead of taking turns.
really shady on epics part if what you say is true.
Splitscreen is dead.DaysAirlines
not with alot of ppl, its just hard to incorperate into a game, it also is harder on the hardware because splitscreen means 2 games running at once, so the gpu does double and the cpu does more, not double because they are running the same processes, just 2 control sets are going into the processes from the users.
thats one reason halo 3 doesn't look the best, co-op split screen.
but neways, yeah thats why they wanted to delay the game and yeah...there is other reasons but that was one.
I hate using Slipscreen on Halo....But I am glad it there so my son can play at the same timeHarlockJC

well PC version dosnt do split screen.. and the PS3 version is ported from the PC version soooooo all platforms will not have splitscreen. And UT3 is designed for PCs thus it has all PC features and vary few console features

wow..really?
MOST console gamers are NOT online....
splitscreen is FAAAAAAR from dead and very, very enjoyable in many 360 games especially in coop mode...
the lack of s/s play on the same ps3 bought at $600 is not good when you consider it's being done on the ps2 at $99...
the ps3's hardware is not having a good effect on this industry... :(

You toss more crap than a cage full of monkeys!
Yeah, split screen is great for a gamer. You can only see part of what you're used to. Yeah, a ton of people use split screen for shooters. Just because it has been done on 360 doesn't mean a ton of people use it.
The price of the unit hasnothing to do with how it is able to handle splitscreen. My guess is, it won't be on the 360 version either.
Its just like Tango to overpraise a feature once its found not to be on the PS3.
