Wow, I never played a UE Tournament before, but by the looks of it. Its absoultely different from Halo. The only simalarity is that they both are FPSes
Unreal Tournament is the best FPS ever, Halo doesnt compare, UT99 and 2k4 were amazingf games.. if you hate them youve either Never played/Suck at the game.

actually its competition between the developers and other game studios and all that. so if epic actually could say that ut owns halo that means it would sell a lot. that game will be for ps3 and 360 and if people heard its better than halo people would go crazy. im not that intelligent when it comes to this stuff but im pretty sure that whoever makes systems on whatever systems hopes they sell more then the other guy no matter if the game is on the same system or not.

I'm a long time UT fan. Been playing UT99 since day one, and still playing it to this day. Been in several clans, heck, I even was ranked 3 on ngworldstats once a few years ago. But I must say that what you just said was the stupidest thing I've read today. It's okay that you have an opinion, I can respect that, but please, stop trying to use it as it were a fact.

Nah, UT will never score higher than Halo just because it is a multiplayer game. There is no story whatsoever so it won't score higher.Dopemonk736
You should probably look into UT2004's scores then, GameSpot gave it a 9.4, Game Informer 9.5, GameSpy 5/5, 1Up gave it a 9/10 and it recieved Editors Choice awards from GameSpot, EGMÂ and IGN as well as a slew of other rave reviews from other industry writers.
Halo 2 got a 9.4 on GS and the original got 9.7. UT is still the better franchise, single player campaign was never fantastic, however the multiplayer experience has not been as good for shooters since Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, UT2004 was a phenominal game in all aspects and doesnt require an uber expensive computer to have good graphics, I can run it on medium on a 64 MB video card and it still looks far superior to Halo in every aspect.

Thats just silly. I love UT2004, I still play it from time to time but you have to give credit where credit is due. Halo is far better single player in Halo CE, Halo 2 online is pretty bland though compared to UT's, but Halo CE's single player kicks UT's ass to the pavement. Both are different games and they are better in different aspects, but dismissing Halo is silly because they both have totally different focuses on player aspect.

wow. Im continually impressed with how EPIC continues to evolve and improve the gameplay of this series. I cant wait to play this. The physics (the part where the rock bridge was blasted and then fell on top of a vehicle) seem to add a whole new layer of depth to the level design and thus the gameplay. I hope my AGP ATI x1950pro 512 mb will be able to run it at capable settings and FPS.

Unreal Championship was awful, biggest joke in the Unreal history. The Unreal games for the Xbox were terrible in control mechanics, you would easily get pwned by anyone playing it on PC cause control sticks cant move targeting reticles as fast as a mouse can, thus making it harder to aim, especially in the uber fast paced online play. If you were playing UT online against PC players who know how to play the game fairly well will kill you every time you spawn. I am a veteran of UT2004 and it takes a lot of gameplay on the PC to get good at it and the controls are so much easier to master, I really did not like the controls in UC on the Xbox.

Halo 2 is compared to other xbox games and the bar has been really low for console shooters; really low. Halo2 is the best of the worst; but when you compare it to pc titles, like ut2004, its basically garbage on levels.

Unreal Tournament wasnt very spec heavy with 2004, I doubt that UT3 will be much heavier on PC specs, probably a minimum 128 MB video card, minimum was 64 MB's for 2004 and I could run it on medium and it ran fine on a 64 MB laptop GPU and medium-high on a 128 MB Radeon 9200.

I love both games, and i would tell u what. UT is better if u play with people u know. And it is only good on PC! So say in 1 room, 4 friends are plain ut, that gona be awsome. But halo is better to play ONLINE on a CONSOLE. Halo is the best CONSOLE shooter, UT is the 2\3rd best Pc shooter(Q3, and CSS may take 1st and 2ns positions). So if u gona get UT only get it for PC! Consele UT is a bit dull, eg Unreal Chempionship.

I guess my 55 PC games, including UT04, are all for naught:( owning stuff doesnt make you (whatever) ITs what you do and what you think, your perspective/philosophies/reasoning, which classifies you as belonging to a certain group. having said that i think what that guy is reffering to when he calls you a console fanboy is that you desire and enjoy console gaming offerings more than that of PC games. I dont care either way; its just interesting to point out.
