coz they think L4D2 doesnt deserve to be a standalone game and should have been released as DLC for L4D 1

Boycotts hold little to no water anymore. Especially for gamers. A lot of people would like to boycott Activision but sadly, they need Modern Warfare 2. You know, one of the biggest titles to hit this year to add to the bank of the almighty. I think when it concerns videogame boycotts, people would rather just get over it and play the game rather than try to change anything. Maybe it's for the best and the effort could be applied elsewhere but then again, maybe sometimes it'd be nice to see some of the so-called boycotters go through with it.

i hope at least the MW2 PC boycott will work, or gamer getting totally screwed in the future.

I think they should have waited another year and packaged this in something like The Purple Box, and had it come with Half life Episode 3, or a new portal or counterstrike. Cause I mean you cant go from making the orange box which was one of the best deals in gaming history to making left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2 which are barely worth the price of admission in terms of content in comparison

I agree. It seemed ridiculous how they couldn't release continual patches and cheap DLC, due to the game not being released too long ago. However when more and more info was released, such as melee weapons, new characters, 5 odd new campaigns, it was obvious the boycott would be a bust.

the boycott was just silly, really. look, everyone is a consumer. its just like xbl. if you don't feel like the product is worth it, then don't buy it. that simple. personally, i will gladly pay my hard earned cash for L4D2, but i can completely understand why some folks might have a problem. that's cool, just speak with your wallet.
