But nothing on if it's only for single player or also for multiplayer

Co-Op just sucks on one screen.

Horizontal all the way.

Well, HDTVs are quite long now... so horizontal would be a waste of view range IMO. I don't like vertical split-screen either, but I think it's probably a smart choice.

Good that KZ3 supports this for those who want it.

They should just give them option to switch between the 2. Vertical bothers me because the other screens movements conflict with my screen. Sometimes an enemy on the left of my friend's screen might look like a guy is on the right of mine

I actually prefer vertical split-screen, its better for bigger HDTV's because they're wider but not as tall.

Don't understand the excitement behind this. Has the Ps3 had no splitscreen games or something? On Xbox, L4Dead, Halo, and even Gears have always had splitscreen, and Halo had online splitscreen.

Agreed. My bro and I play a lot of split screen Reach on my 21 in. HDTV, and man, it gets tiring squinting into that tiny screen.

Black Op's should count because the split screen performance crawls around the 15 fps mark at the best of times.

Yay! A feature which should have been standard since the N64 days! I don't understand all these threads about split screen like it's some amazing new innovation. We shouldn't praise developers for including it, we should be annoyed that they don't. And I know, on the topic of VERTICAL split screen, I remember back in Perfect Dark you could choose between vertical and horizontal. How is it that Perfect Dark is still miles more advanced than every single modern game in terms of content? Why was Perfect Dark not used as the basis for all multiplayer games and then built on?
