VGchartz Not Credible? Think Again

the worst comment I ever see is "its the only source we have". These people often admit its not very accurate but are willing to use something they know is wrong. Why not use nextgenwars.com? Or my guesses? They are sources too. Its a joke.blue_hazy_basic

Nextgenwars uses shipped numbers for M$ and Nintendo and uses sold to consumer numbers for Sony. What kind of **** is that dude? Why would we use something like that? They also used an automatic counter that updated every few minutes also. NOONE can track sales accuratly or even remotely close every few minutes. It would be just ridiculous for anyone to try and claim ownage using them.

That right there should prove to people that they're number are complete BS. They make up a bunch of number until media create and npd are released, and then correct their assumprions. When they finish that, they add more assumptions for Europe.

I find this interesting. Does anyone here REALLY believe that this site tracks private sales data for x number of companies worldwide? Does anyone have any idea how much the logistics of maintaining that kind of research on a weekly basis would cost? NPD is a million $ company, and not even they are 100% accurate. Come on, guys...

Well they are doing it somehow because they get pretty close to NPD and MediaCrate every month.
