So far is a good list. Curious to see the top 10. I bet Final fantasy for number 1. Then probably there will be on the top 10, MGS, Sillent Hill, Kingdom Hearts, Uncharted and a few others.

Its unfair if it aint a FF to be number one.

Yay Mirrors edge and chrono trigger made it. They've made me the happiest girl!

Kinda weird to see Ocarina so far on that list. I would have expected it to crack the top ten. Oh well still a great soundtrack. And Halo's soundtrack is amazing as well.

As for number 1 I'm expecting a Final Fantasy as well. Maybe 6, 7, or 9. Or maybe even SMG.

This list needs some castlevania 4!!

God of War had a really good soundtrack. Hope that makes it on the list.

Xenogears should be first if not that list is fail. Xenogears music was a work of art that compiled the best of the worlds music. I haven't heard music like that in any other game. At least one Final Fantasy should be there too, maybe 6, 4 or 8.RedruM_I

Most of the tracks were beautifully composed, the quality is superb but I personally found her work in SotN better. It by no means matches the quality of Laments OST though. I found the Ghostly Theatres theme to be quite atmospheric myself. VERY good theme.

An FF will be in there, probably 4, 6, 7 or 10. Chrono Trigger is in. I bet Super Mario Galaxy gets in as well.

Halo needs to be higher IMO, Marty O'Donnel is a genius composer. Also agree with some other suggestions and yeah can easily see FF winning the top spot :D

Would like to see Fable get a mention aswell.

I think Ocarina of Time should have been further up the list, atleast in the top 10...

Halo is number 12? Wow, I think it's much better than that.

if theres no final fantasy, Banjo kazooie or jet set radio then this list will be useless to me :P

hearing them remastered is simply amazing. Even then I could never deny the quality of composition in ALttP, YI, CT, SOM, SMW, DKC 1 and 2 etc. You broadly over generalize. PS1 era had this obssession with making everything sound epic. Too bad most of it was not.

i hate RPG's but i do love the chrono cross ST, it gives me goosbumps
