Yes, true in the way that they absorb one's focus and waste time, eventually leading to drops in performance, bad grades, etc. False in the way that one can learn form them, like getting good ad games that require a ton of skill like Street Fighter, Vampire (Darkstalkers), Bombastic, Devil May Cry, etc. Shooter players would also have some skill in a gunfight, while Metal Gear Solid players might have some skill in stealth.
