And if the description of a video says the game is on PC, the graphics trump anything on consoles, has great textures and massive scale. However if we change that description on the same video to PS3 or 360, the graphics now look teriible with low resolutions, horrible muddy textures, and the levels are small and tiny.

The textures you are reffering to is the worst part of the vid, but they seem more avg res then horribly low res. The overall look is outstanding.

Do keep in mind this alpha gameplay, alpha on any game has "placeholders" and ill regardless that is still ridiculous looking.
hope so...the textures are bad. i5750at4GhzEveryone in SW is a graphical artist all of a sudden.
They are pretty low res though. :P
Didn't Dice say that it was done on a 580gtx?
I mean,we all know how the console version will look like...
Just kidding:P
made no sense...people going around saying it looks mind blowing...it does in terms of scale and destruction/animations...but graphics are nothing special.Going by the title, no it wasn't on consoles when they were dragging the guy who got shot they were pressing S
You see this is the problem with PC price exaggeration. "It's seriously impressive stuff, but even a blind man could see that it clearly wasn't running on an Xbox 360. So what about us mere mortals who don't own a Skynet-style PC."
I could take a dump with better performance than consoles. I doubt my over 3 year old graphics card can control skynet but i bet it will run BF3 very well.

I don't understand. What videos? Where is it mentioned or even hinted that those ridiculously shoddy nowgamer screencaps are from the console version? What would make you think that's the case? And why would it even matter when the images are so tiny and blurry? That post is several weeks old. And it literally says "it clearly wasn't running on an Xbox 360". Etc Etc.
But to answer your question: No. DICE has made it incredibly and irrevokably clear that they have been showing the PC version.

"We knew that people would think that this demo was running on PC, but the good thing is that it's all based on streaming," Bach tells us. "We have a super-powerful streaming pipeline, which makes it possible to stream high-end data through the game so every frame we look at will have fresh data. This means you don't have to load everything at once; you don't have to fill the level at the start. In BC2, you have 512 megs of memory; you load it, you play it, done. The objects you saw at the end needed to be loaded at the start, and you think, 'It took me an hour to get to this point where I can see it, so what's the point?'
"That's the whole magic with this. We can have 512 megs every hundred metres if we wanted to, as we can just flush the data out [and replace it] as you move along. I can promise you that the console versions will still look amazing because of the core technology. If you have a 360, we want to use that machine to the maximum."
Sounds great, I am more hopeful about running this game on some good settings.
