Violent Video Games and GTA not as bad as people make them out to be.

I mainly use GTA as a Flying game.

I almost never kill people with guns.

too busy up in the air blasting Music.

I don't blame the kids for wanting tp play games like GTA and such, they are fun.

when I was that age all I played was Mortal Kombat, RE2, MGS1, and a slew of violence fun games.

and guess what I never hurt or killed anyone or stole anything,

In fact I volunteer at a local old folks home providing them Hot meals and help care for them.:oops:

sorry but if Violent games caused violence, there would be a spike in crime nation wide.

Violent media does not make normal, psychologically healthy people violent. But it can cause someone with a mental disorder or a personality disorder to snap and/or lose touch with reality, and that could make them violent.

There have been many studies, and violence in media (movies, music, games, and TV) can and do have an effect on agression, even in normal, healthy people. It is magnified in someone with a weakened grip on reality.

Oh, and by the way, your experience is called a "case study" in psychology, and does not prove/disprove anything on its own.

Here's another individual anecdote. I've been playing games since NES and to this day I refuse to personally kill anything. I save every spider I can, I watch where I walk to avoid the random bug, I even saved a cockroach from my living room (the first I have seen in about 6 years. I don't want people thinking I live in Florida (anymore) or squalor)).

Again, I refer you back to my post. I am not saying violent games are bad. Most people who have the issues are under 18 and also have parents that should have been monitoring what they were doing/watching/playing.

Well going to Wal-mart from time to time does get me to fantasize about stuff like and causes me to break out a smile.:P

But I would never act upon it. Even though some people at Wally-mart are Jack holes. :P

No. I'm not trying to flame you but "DONT" go into either, especially the Marines thinking that being a Army Ranger, Special Forces op, Recon Marine of Force Recon marine will be as easy as just wearing a screen name

and some more advise, get it in your contract before you join ;)
