[QUOTE="Jipset"]Kill a wave of enemies, move to different location, kill more enemies, cutscene, quick time event, rinse and repeatTikeio
Sounds like Uncharted.
And almost all games this gen. I agree with TC.[QUOTE="Jipset"]Kill a wave of enemies, move to different location, kill more enemies, cutscene, quick time event, rinse and repeatTikeio
Sounds like Uncharted.
Sounds like every game with "enemies" in existence.[QUOTE="FPSfan1985"]Then stop playing them....JipsetI stopped after MW2 came out. Then why are you still whining?
This of course assumes that all M rated, violent games are like that.
Actually, TC summarized a ton of video games, not just M rated ones.
[QUOTE="Jipset"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"]Then stop playing them....meetroid8I stopped after MW2 came out. If you haven't played a violent game since MW2, how could you now that they're boring? Are you actually suggesting violent games have changed since MW2? :|

Sounds like Uncharted.
Sounds like every game with "enemies" in existence. no let's just bash uncharted :(So does TC have a problem with msot games in general? Because a good chunk of them follow the pattern of "kill enemies, go to new location, cutscene/ story scene, go kill more enemies." I don't tihnk it's a bad formula especially if the combat is good.

I mean, I've briefly tried some of the newer ones at parties and stuff (like Mortal Kombat, BF3, and Gears of War 3) and I wasn't impressed. Mortal Kombat was kind of fun because I haven't played any Mortal Kombat games in years, but all shooters feel pretty much the same to me.

The problem is, most games this generation use this formula.
I agree with TC, it's very boring.
It's why I've become so much more particular with the games I buy today.
I like to make sure that what I'm buying is fun and different from the mainstream.
I hate to sound like a hipster, but it's the formula for most successful mainstream games.
(Wow the audience with intense violence, and then some highly detailed cinematics over and over again.)
It sucks that some people are so easily amused.
You're just getting bored because there is so much of it nowadays.
This is when you start looking for smaller games and jumping into different genres.
Ny problem is that they don't have enough GORE! I wish i could play a COD game with gears like gore.
