PS3 get a 8.2 while the Xbox 360 geta a 8.4

PS3 probably get the lower score since it had no online play. I don't really care for the game but everyone who does discuss here.

so you need dedicated servers now for games with only 2-4 players?

You need something to set up the player matching. TCHBO again

I love tennis games, played tennis in college, and I play every tennis game. I cant wait to pick this one up, the demo is pretty sweet, so actual game should be great.

Honestly, after playing Wii Tennis, I have no interest in pushing buttons to swing my racket anymore.

I prefer Wii Sports.

Pressing a button to swing the racket or actually swinging the remote to swing the racket....which is more realistic in how you play...

Expect this to happen often. This is what you get when your online play is free.

Were'nt people saying the PS3 version was going to be better because AM2 was making it for PS3,  and another Sega developer was making the 360 version?

I guess that wasn't true?  Both versions had AM2 working on it?

How is no online play only worth knocking 0.2 off? Gamespot is so biased towards the PS3, Sonyspot.

Oh thats right,  cows did brag about this:

http://ps3.gamespy.com/playstation-3/virtua-tennis-3/728947p1.html

In regard to controls, gameplay feels just as smooth as it did in the past, and the AI feels mighty sharp for a game that's less than halfway complete. The gameplay feels a little better on PS3 than it does on 360 right now, and we're chalking that up to the difference in development houses, with AM2's game having a slight edge over the Sumo-developed game for Microsoft's system.

doh,  what happened cows

You can't be serious??!!  You don't think it should be docked at all for not having online play?

They got identical scores in everything...Gameplay 8, Graphics 8, Sound 7,  Tilt 9, the only difference was in Value and thats because of the online play.  No online play = less value.  So the PS3 version got a 8 in Value, and the 360 got a 9 in Value..Sounds fair to me..

so you buy a tennis game to just watch? you know you could just see them on tv. or do like i do and actually play the real thing. but when the weather is bad or i want to just play for a short time, the motion sensing one is the closest thing.

Umm I think you misread my post. How is it ONLY docked .2 pts for no online play, it should have been more. The rest was me being sarcastic about how cows cry about "teh bias".

I didn't read the review, but no online play for the PS3? That's just...dumb. Sony had better get its act together. If online play is offered through live, sony should demand that its licensees offer online play through its "superior" online service, PSN.farrell2k

Remember that paying for Live thing 360 owners do? That is why. So MS can subsidize the cost of online play, whereas Sony's PSN being free, they cannot do the same.

You guys are weird.

Okay, you continue just pressings buttons.

I'd rather press buttons on a quality Tennis game than to swing a wiimote in a half assed version...

Wii Tennis blows. It isn't even a full game, BUT you do have a point. A Tennis game like Virtua Tennis with the Wiimote would be fantastic...
