Visuals: God of War 3 vs Uncharted 2

I am willing to bet that GoW3 will be superior to Uncharted 2 when it releases. Who's with me? :)

eh, gow3 from what i've seen so far, doesn't really look that good, graphics wise:? i've been playing uc2 and everytime i'm like damn, that looks effin good. granted, it still has months away before it comes out, who knows how i'll look then. but, surpassing uc2, i don't know. it just looks so damn good:D

I am willing to bet God of War 3 will have better graphics.

God of War 3 won't have amazing graphics (atleast from what I've seen in the trailers) but it's definitely going to destroy everything out there in gameplay.

the one level (the only level they showed) looks pretty impressive. I want to see more footage though.

love it how some are saying NO WAY, when they haven't even played God of War 3 (guess they're overexcited with U2)...the game isn't out yet, we will have to see. U2 looks amazing, but GOW3 will pack a nice punch..no doubt. Sniper-PIG

From the comments in this thread, I could at least conclude that everyone believes this game will kick some serious ass when its released. I understand the skepticism regarding the visuals, but technologically it is definitely not inferior to Uncharted 2's engine. So I'm willing to make this friendly SW challenge. :)

Uncharted 2 wins my vote. Honestly, GOW3 doesn't even look that good.

The devs talk to each other so I'm sure ND will pass some things off about what they've learned between now and March.

One of my main reasons for believing in this case is because the 1st party games are only going to keep improving from this point on.

I dont know. Kratos character model is truly impressive though and the game seems to be improving graphically everytime we see it.

It has improved a lot since the Spike Video Game Awards last year, so you never know...

I love the graphics style of God of War 3, but all that we've seen is a level inside a cave. Compare that to Uncharted 2's goddamn tropical forests and ancient ruins...of course Uncharted 2 will look more pretty based on its setting, but God of War 3 will look great and maybe even better than Uncharted 2 in its well lit levels. As everyone knows, the first 2 God of War games pushed the PS2 to its limits...I'd expect God of War 3 to push the PS3 to its limits as well.

God of War 3 will have a GRAND-er feel, but graphic-wise probably around KZ2 style level.

After seeing Shambhala in UC2, it's going to take alot for GOW3 to top it. However since GOW3 is not yet released I would give it the benefit of the doubt. I guess we'll find out when the demo comes with the GOW collection.

i'll wait till GOW3 gets released however i am positive it will look amazing andthough not better surely on par with U2's visuals..

it wont even be close to Killzone 2 but i still expect cows to jump on the graphics king bandwagon.

My predictions

1)GOW III wil have a massive real time world.

2)It will have better graphics than any console game at the time it releases.

3)It will have an extremely long story and will play like a movie.

UC2 has some really good looking scenery but everything else looks alright. I still think the best looking PS3 game overall is KZ2. GOW3 may be graphically better than UC2, it's hard to say at this point. I have a feeling it will blow UC2 out of the water on gameplay.

I think GOW3 could have as good graphics as uncharted 2. But it depends on how much action and enemies they want to have on screen at the same time. And GOW3 will probably have more than UC2.

You can tell just from watching the demo that the models in God of War 3 aren't as detailed and organic as Uncharted 2's models. The lighting and level design for God of War 3 look inferior and not next gen. God of War 3 looks like God of War 2 with better graphics. Uncharted 2 played on a proper HDTV looks like a PC game. Im still looking forward to GOW3 but I dont think it will look better or be as fun as Uncharted 2.

I doubt this game will look even better than uncharted 1. Seriously god of war is not a graphical showpiece from what I've seen.

Visuals: The art team is working their butts off to make the best looking game possible. You guys have seen what the Ps3 can do now with Uncharted 2 so you guys can imagine what may be possible with the final version of GOW3.

i dun know but GOW3 has a great chance to surprise us like U2 did (Crysis isn't the only game that can really surprise ppl).

God of War will look better then Uncharted 2 cause GoW3 looks better then Gears of war 2 which looks better then Uc2.

I think GoW3 looks a hair better, mostly due to its scale.

GOW3 has amazing visuals...but IGN already stated that they aren't consistent is some areas

UC2 is superior in everything but GOW3 has a better caracter model of Cratos in comparaison to Nate. But a game is not only the caracters specially for a 3rd person game in witch your caracter represent only 15-20% of everything you see on the screen.

God of War will look better then Uncharted 2 cause GoW3 looks better then Gears of war 2 which looks better then Uc2.
