wait for gt5, mg4, killzone2 and price drops

do any cows remember the thread that i posted saying how sony should delay ps3' launch another year...hahaha i was right...

killapp launch vs halo3 ....instead of resisthis generic fps...vs gears

360 elite would have to go against ps3 only sku 599.99 usd...

then developers might actually consider using 50 gigs for gameplay...

Sony didn't need to delay the PS3, they just had to put their flagship titles on it. Both FFXII and GoW 2 came out within a month of the PS3 launch, and both were on the PS2. How stupid is that? You have a competitor with a ton of hype and a flagship title (Wii+ZeldaTP) and another with a proven product and a flagship title released (360+GeoW) and both are cheaper. But naturally instead of looking to the future Sony decided to cash in on the PS2's fanbase rather than think "oh gee, we might need to sell a couple of those big $600 boxes over there".pundog

great point...I when I heard GOW2 was coming out I was like o damn a killer PS3 title near or at launch and then I heard it was a PS2 game and I was like huh?? ok well that sucks :)

anyways Sony critized MS for abandoning the Xbox1 to early but Sony didn't have enough forethought to make sure the PS3 had killer apps at or around launch(they still don't have a killer app IMO)...they thought they could just rely on brand  name to crush the competition and its back firing they were arrogant and they are paying for it

PS3 is a little ahead of it's time (pricewise mostly) but I think there is reason behind their rhyme. Not sure quite what that is yet, or if I will ever know, but a sale is a sale...even if that means being in last in next gen for awhile. It is also a good thing to at very least have your name out there for a longer period. I doubt any Sony elite would have predicted ps3 to be a success at this stage in the game. whoisryanmack

dude I said this even before the launch of 360...I will get my 360 at launch and pick up a PS3 sometime around holiday 2008 and in my mind my strategy could not be working out better...I just had a feeling and I am parcial to Xbox at this point in my gaming carrer anyways...

holiday '08 is where its at for PS3 lower price point and more AAA's and I have the luxury of having played my 360 for almost three years that that point

Umm...I fail to see how that doesn't fall under "ahead of it's time". I hope you aren't implying that the answers to these hits will never come...surely you know Sony better than that. The only thing worse for Sony than doing poorly at this time with PS3, is to have nothing at all. If you were Sony, would you rather have sold 3 million systems..or 0?

BTW, I own a 360 and nothing else. I have no reason to defend Sony other than their sparkling past performance.
