'wait til,...'

- wait til November 2007

- wait til, wait til, wait til, etc. etc.

Thats all the Sony camp has; "wait til,..." And each time we get to their "wait til,..." there is nothing that was worth waiting.

Now, we have them just taking entire years - "wait til 2008".

What are we waiting for again?? And why?

In reality, cows aren't waiting for anything. Plenty of great reasons to own a PS3 right now. This "just wait" myth is merely a product of the absurdity of System Wars and the flawed logic that exists therein. If anything, the only real waiting is being done by Lemmings, as they wait in anticipation for their 360's to return from the repair shop.Jared2720

What difference does it make? If I had purchased an Xbox 360 that included all of the features I wanted in a gaming console, it would have exceeded $600. And I still wouldn't be able to play Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, as well as the other PS3 exclusive titles I'm looking forward to in '08. I don't understand the relevance of your question, sir.

The cows should speak up. It's the cows telling us to "wait til,..." - so, its ME asking the COWS, what are we waiting for?

The best I can figure is that cows are forced to resort to such tactics because Gamespot isn't exactly kind to the PS3. Whether it's because Gamespot is biased or not I have no idea, but the fact is that game reviews are still opinions. It just so happens that we're all forced to subscribe to the rules of System Wars where PS3 reviews are often easy targets for mockery. However, just because Uncharted got an 8.0 at Gamespot doesn't mean that we're literally waiting for anything. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

As I said, this "just wait" business is merely the result of the absurdity of System Wars. In the "real world," PS3 owners aren't waiting for anything. Unless, of course, it's MGS4. I'm definitely waiting for that. :)

What do you mean wait till? The PS3 got the games it was expected to get in it's first year, just as the 360 did. It did equally as well as the 360 in it's first year. Now, we will see the really good games in it's second year, just as the 360 did. What's the problem?

There should really be an Official Waiting Thread stickied on System Wars.

I believe today the date of waiting was pushed back into sometime in 2011 by -Renegade.

Look, the PS3 has a great 2008 lineup, the 360 has nothing except for banjo and fable 2. Pathetic. I'm sorry but there's no possibility that more games are going to be announced for any other console next year. I also didn't forget to mention anything. Those are the only two games you 360 owners have to look forward to. Weak. Hey we had more than 2 in 07 you just forgot some multiplats. There. Now the lineup looks better. The PS3 is going to rain fortune upon the game industry as it will be the only console to have releases next year, except SSBB, Fable 2 and that Banjo thing. By next year, We will have almost as many good games as you had a year ago.

There's so many great games though, so you don't even need to compare. They aren't going to flop either, they were made by reputable devs. There's DMC...Resident Evil 5...huh? Multiplat? MGSIV...what its being pushed back again?! Well, there is also killzone, they put a lot of money into it now so it defnintely going to be good, the psp one wasn't bad. Whatever, this stuff is better than overrated Halo 3 (every place rates it too high because it isn't on my console). Look we still have a great lineup, we still got Final Fantasy okay? Don't question the broad appeal of a slowly dying JRPG franchise. Everyone will love it, it will be a system seller. Just wait. You will see, you will be sorry for making fun of the PS3."

This is the essence of the waiting game. It is more than just waiting for games worth playing, its about waiting for killer apps that make the system worth buying the system on their own right. It is about the coming of the prophecized domination of the PS3.

Ok, so what you're saying is, the 360 only "succeeded" in it's first year because it was on gamespot, and because it launched with an "AAAE" game (even if it was horrible and lackluster in comparison to R:FoM) on Gamespot? Nice. I did forgot that this is gamespot, though. It's good to be able to think to myself that all the conversations here only apply to gamespot and all this is roleplay, and has nothing to do with the outside world. Thank god.
