Walmart Lists Ico, Shadow of the Colossus Set for PS3

Walmart is taking pre-orders for a box set of popular Playstation 2 action games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus for the Playstation 3 for just under $40.

While Sony has yet to announce such a bundle, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida told IGN back in June that they are "looking to continue to do these HD conversions" following in the footsteps of God of War and Sly collections for the PS3.

In the case of those games, the ****c PS2 titles featured updated high definition graphics.

We've reached out to Sony for comment and will update if and when we hear something on this.

Day 1 buy if they fix the framerate issues with Shadow of Colossus. The original game feels like an unplayable mess. Haven't tried Ico yet though. Always meant to get that one back in the day but kept procrasinating and eventually never got it.

Sony will most likely announce it at TGS.

I would buy it just for Ico.

It's only been a little over a year. It'll be at TGS which starts in like 4-5 days.

Skipped out on the GoW Collection but I'll definitely be picking this up. It's not just about the trophies or the resolution but rather the slow downs should be close to non-existant.

ICO took 4 years (started development in 97, released in 01) to develop and SOTC took 3 (began development in 2002, released in 2005/2006). team ICO usually puts a lot of effort into their releases. do you consider ICO + SOTC vaporware?

as for myself, definitely own and have beaten both games multiple times but I'll still be picking this up for some HD + trophies :]

I already have both games on PS2, and my PS3 is backward compatible so I don't really have much reason to buy this other than the trophies. Yet, I'm still tempted.

I guess the release will come sooner than we thought. I'll pick it up but not on day one though. Inb4 "T3h rIp 0fF!!!1".:P

I'm not a huge fan of ICO (still a good game),but SOTC is stunning,just stunning.
