Want proof PSN + is a waste of money?

All PSN+ is right now is you basically pre order some unknown "bonus" game of their choice for you to get free/discounted. So enjoy giving Sony money so they can decide what game you get in return. I'd fully expect the PS4's version of PSN to be a pay service, and PSN basic will be an extremely stripped down version of PSN. No new features will come to regular PSN after that, and PSN as a pay service doesnt sound like its worth it at all.

I don't see that as proof that PSN+ is a waste of money. You're going to need to explain further what you're trying to prove due to lack of support for your claim.

I can't even begin to tell you how much PSN+ has saved me. Getting the Killzone 3 map pack today for free was amazing.Randoggy

Yes but, you could just not spend the money on Plus (other than the free stuff I see no need for plus) and use that money to get something you want. So if they offer a "free" game and you've already bought that game its pretty much pointless. As far as the pre order comment goes I see it like this: Say you go into Gamestop, give them money and in turn they'll give you a game/content of their choice. Meaning you pretty much preordered Sony's choice of content for you. Just go buy the stuff you want and stop paying for something thats really not necessary.

Those games would have been discounted the day they launched or possibly some of them even being free

I got a bunch of PS1 games for free and got KZ3 Map pack for free due to PSN +. Doesnt't look like a waste to me.

WOW this is stupid. I only have a PSP and when occasionally browsing the PS store there is usally a few things that are compeltely free, and some of that content is actually good.

All XBL Gold members get for free are s****** Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper gamerpics and themes. WHOOPS I forgot the awesome free games we got over the years: Crash Course, Harm's Way, the other crappy Dorito's game, Aegis Wing, and maybe Undertow.

I recall one point in time PSN+ memebers got all the Fallout 3 DLC for free. I don't wanna play FO3, but all that DLC alone probably adds up to the PSN+ subscription (I'm assuming PSN+ is $50 per year), and then you get other potentially good deals.

Well I did get Sonic the Hedgehog 1, and 2, Stacking, a few Spyro games, Syphon Filter, and tons of Minis and PSN titles for free, so I'd say PSN + isn't too bad of a deal.

Still doesn't hold a candle to Steam...which is free :D

PSN Plus has that too. I've seen Castle Crashers for 7.5, still passed. I just wanted to save a bit on warranty and get "free" games.

-Comet Crash

-Zen Pinball

-Critter Crunch

-Lead and Gold: Gangs of the West

-Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2

-Syphon Filter 1 and 2 on PS1 classics

-Rally Cross PS1 classic

-Spyro the Dragon PS1 classic (and I think 1 or 2 of it's sequels)

-Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus PS1 classics

-Killzone 3 DLC

I'm sure there's at least a few more games I'm forgetting, and there was some DLC for PSN games that I downloaded for free, but I'm waiting for the games to go on sale to get to use that free DLC. :D

Plus lots of random themes and avatars that I wouldn't buy INDIVIDUALLY, but hey I paid for them with PSN+ and it's neat to have them now that I have them.

Throw in the fact that I've got access to several betas and demos early,just like the themes/avatars - not a big deal but just another perk.

Finally I've bought several games that were discounted a few extra dollars for PSN+ members over the regular price or even the regular sale price (i.e. a game that was regularly $15, goes on sale for $7.50, PSN+ might get for $5.00 or less.

All of that content adds up. No doubt it's worth it IMO, even if you only play half the games it is easily worth it just to get such a huge sampling of games for $50.

You've got something to talk aboutTC, you just need to follow through. I'm hoping you come back with a surprise :).

PS+ has already payed for itself with giving out free things. Some friends of mine have it and they think it is worth it. I'll probably get it eventually.

PSN+ users got the latest Killzone 3 map pack for free today, and Might & Magic Clash of Heroes HD comes released with a 20% off discount.
