[QUOTE="Frozzik"][QUOTE="Shensolidus"]750k players? It has been over a month my friend. That is a terrible player increase rate. Age of Conan had 1 Million in 2 weeks and they are now merging servers cause they don't have enough players. In truth, Warhammer is just one of those games that will just blend in with all other MMO's and Blizzard's WoW will either finally plateau or the expansion will see another quick growth.Shensolidus
huh? Please provide a link to back that 1 million in 2 weeks up. I read right here on GS AoC topped at just over 600k. Oh an WAR was released here only 2 1/2 weeks ago. Also it has yet to be released in many countries.
Sorry but 750k is a phenomenal number for a pay to play mmo. Its more than wow in the same time span to put it into comarison.
The official release date for Warhammer was September 16th, it is now October 15th. We're one day shy. As for the news story on Age of Conan hitting 1 million in a month, I believe it was a story back in June or May that hit Kotaku. I'm not gonna bother looking it up. And Warhammer was released in both Australia, and all European markets. It is only missing a few asian markets, they probably won't turn over either due to how much money they make on WoW.
Sure it got to 500K the fastest, but it definitly slowed down after that. I don't see why you are pushing this game either, I left the game over the weekend with a Rank 31 Chosen. It got boring really quick imo.
Don't ever mix the amount of copies a MMORPG sold with the amount of active subscribers it had, age of conan may have sold multiples million of copies over time, but it's active subscribers in any moment since it released never top 700K players, let alone a million , and it droped fast. Warhammer Online was the most preordered pc game in EA's history, and it ship 1.5 million copies at launch, having over 750K players for a new launched P2P MMO is an amazing achivement, probably more amazing than a FPS title selling 3 million.
