Warframe (Open Beta) Review 6.0

I told you console bros that you shouldn't be excited for this. :P

The Good
Acrobatic suit maneuvers and cool powers.

The Bad
 Environments repeated frequently/Lackluster enemy variety/Some poorly explained systems.

But seriously, you might enjoy it if you don't mind the repetition.

Edited the title since the game appears to have been prematurely reviewed. :shock: (I'm sure Gamespot just drank a lot and was very tired)

The game is fun, just takes forever to unlock crap, that's what killed the game for me.

Why are they reviewing a game that's in open beta and still adding content regularly? It's not even close to being finished, and the campaign isn't in the game yet.

Easily the best game of 2013 so far though.

But I agree with some parts. It's repetitive as hell and not very intuitive to understand. 

Also reviewing a beta is dumb as shit. 

Yeah it's not great, the combat is decent fun though, but it's ruined by the back end that forces you to play the game over, and over, and over, and over, and over again until you can unlock something and since unlocking stuff is all there is to do in the game it just makes the whole thing a big grind.bobbetybob

It's the epitome of grind. The free to play nature of the game has butchered a lot about it. There's no end game and nothing really to work towards. Eventually those carrots on sticks get dull

I played it a handful of time so far, it just doesn't have that addictive quality that keeps me hooked or wanting more.

Surprised to see the beta reviewed given that DOTA 2 only recently got a review and had been out for such a long time before the review.

True but there's better f2p games to play imo.

I don't get the love for this game. The action is pretty standard for a third person shooter. What kills the game is the repetition in the action and levels. 

I also don't see anything on the steam page or game website that says that this game is in open beta. Looks like a released game to me.

PC developers can't make a high quality game to save the downward spiral platform. This explains why us PC gamers will continue to beg for console ports.

They still have to review Rising Storm. They spent a lot of coverage on it before its release, but ever since then they have been silent.

When you install the game you have to agree to the open beta rules. It also says so every time you sign into the game. It is not a released game.

I played it for an hour before uninstalling it. It's like playing those Mass Effect 3 side missions where you have to find the Reaper artifacts at the Cerburus labs over and over :?

So the review sais its good but repetitive. That was a beta so hope PS4 version better.

Not my type of game.

The game is alot of fun but the crazy grind needed just puts me off, i'd probably buy some stuff (weapons warframes) to enjoy it but the prices are ridiculous.

Its not pay to win at all. A big part of the game is to level up your gear and weapons, and you do that by leveling it up and adding mods that drop in the missions. So doesnt matter how much you buy because all your gear still will be level 1 so you will need to play the game.
