Warhammer 40k: Space Marine

I think its 360/PS3. Technically it hasnt even been officially announced. Just job postings for a 40k themed game.

I think it is for both 360 and PS3.

It's in alpha so expect it to be clunky and unpolished, looks awesome so far when you take the time they have worked on it into account though.

My only concern is the toughness of the traitor guards/chaos space marines and power of the weapons, they should tweak all that. This is some ideas I got from some other guy in the DoW2 forums:
Traitor guards is really easy kills, but they come in huge numbers, usually a shot from the bolt pistol will kill them, but ammo will be scarce so you have to be careful with your shots.
They should make the chaos space marines a lot tougher, almost on par with yourself, but there difficulty could really be medium to high considering that you're a hero and not an ordinary battle brother, needless to say the chaos space marines should be tougher if they're not just "ordinary" traitor marines, chosen or terminators for example..

I really think they should add in squad combat too, and hopefully let you loose on a battlefield.

Anyway, it's probably more than inspired by the success of Gears, 40k has always looked gritty like that though.

For a minute I thought this was about Dawn of War 2.

!!!!! THQ removed the video!!!! if what you guys are saying is right....then my 2nd dream game has come true!!! ( 1st a in-depth batman game and 2nd a Shooter set in the warhammer 40k universe!!)

Damn, I expected this to happen.. thought about downloading it, but I was too lazy for that.

Mark my words though, the visuals are stunning, at least if you like the 40k art style, their interpretation of the world is REALLY good in my opinion.

... whats with the comparison to gears? jsut because a game is in a gritty war torn universe all of a sudden they are exactly the same? Or is it that a space marine wears big armor too?

That's what I'm saying. Gears is a rip-off of 40k. I'm happy to see a 40k game play like gears because that's what a 40k game SHOULD play like.

That's what he meant, that Gears style and visuals are obvious rip offs of 40k, at least that's how I interpreted it.
