WARNING: GTAIV Importers in AUS and NZ

you do understand that the game is going to get checked by customs and they do not allow GTAIV the non-edited version.

if you get caught (you might because they most of the times check the parcel) you could to get the item destroyed or you could get fined.

I live in Canada, and I import a whole bunch of stuff from Hong Kong, Japan, and the States, and it definately doesn't appear to me that they've went through my stuff.

Maybe the laws are different there?

umm not sure about canada but in AUS and most countries they go through your package making sure its not drugs/guns etc

zero9167: a few cutscenes, they lowered down the swearing (there will be swearing just not as much) and i think like you cant pick up prostitutes or something.

Do you know this for fact TC, because it looks like you're just speculating..... YOu really think a video game is gonna raise a red flag even if they do check the package? Customs are looking for guns/drugs/ other dangerous materials...... I seriously doubt they are gonna come after some 20 something guy that wants to hear more swearing in his copy of GTA.

Chances are the people at customs don't have a clue about the video game industry and have no idea about different regions having different content..... you think they open every package and then go down their list... "okay, nope its not Alchohol, not Aspirin, not Bees, not Beetles...... *1 hour later* ...... not a Zebra..... okay NEXT PACKAGE"

I doubt they will check the package, they will scan it and if it looks sus they might open it to check.

I highly doubt, even if they do open it, that they will destroy it.

They most likely wont even know that it is a different version, or that the US version is banned in AUS.

i agree, if they open every package with a game-like box inside, they'll open a whole lot of packages every single day.

yes, you have a good chance of getting the game without getting it checked. But, if they do know.. well as i explained in my first post.

There's plenty of roads equivalent to K Road in Taiwan, but crap gets banned there all the time (or was that Singapore?)
