Long loading times.

Towns feel a bit linear and not as open as I would hope.

Mediocre voice acting coupled with some "What the hell?" dialogue.

Bad characters.

Weak story.

Incredibly easy.

Not much penality for dying.

Holds your hand and tells you where to go.

The whole "choose your own path" leads down the same road, anyway.

Getting women to sleep with you is too easy.

Short quest.

Unsatisfying combat (to me) that feels too basic to last you throughout the whole game.

No MP or arrow limit? I guess this might not be a flaw, considering magic isn't that much better than melee. But I don't know. I just played the beginning, so I wouldn't know if it can be abused.

I think people expected more out of this game. To be honest, I only played the game just today at my friend's house and don't own, but that's what I felt. I lost a battle and lost 29 exp. Then I beat one enemy and gained 30 exp. Also, my friend told me it isn't full interacting with characters.

Bad characters and a weak story alone should've brought it down to AA. People were freaking out before, but now that the hype has died down, do you think the 8.5 score was justified?

After looking at closey and nip-picking it. It make significant improvements from Fable but it wasn't what I would think we were expecting.

I didn't play the full game. I don't own Fable 2, or even a 360. I'm just telling you what I experienced from my time with the game. My friend just got it.

After so many flops for the 360 this year, the Lemmings had to hang onto something, so they downplayed Fable's 2 flop, and pretended like this game was AAAA or something.

I think people are placing unwarranted expectations on Fable as a series. It is getting bashed by action adventure and RPG fans alike. They haven't been able to find that happy medium to rate the game on what it is, so they berrate it to no end. I, myself, personally enjoyed Fable. That is saying alot, because I've had experience crashing problems with most of the lastest and greatest; Dead Space, Far Cry 2, and Fallout 3 to some regard with all the clipping issues and the fact that some of the bobbleheads are misseable. (Angry vandal) With that said, for what it was Fable 2 is a game that shines. Is it going to be as indepth as say... Baldur's Gate? No, and rightfully so. The game is an action adventure with light role playing elements. You can easily become a master of all character over the course of the game. For what it lacks in overall character development it more than makes up for in heart. Is it going to be as fluid as say... Devil May Cry? No, and rightfully so. The game is a role playing game with action adventure elements. Your character grows over time as you advance through the game, and you're not goign to have the same kind of high brow combat you'd expect from another action adventure game. So where does that leave us? It leaves us in an awkward place. On one side you have action adventure fans disliking the extremely lackluster combat. On the other side you have RPG fans missing the indepth features of other RPGs. But that isn't to say that it is a bad game at all. Overall the story is great, and a large improvement over the first one. The side quests in the game are well thought out and mostly compelling. The towns evolve based on your actions over time and grow or shrink. There are endless positive things you can say about this game. It also lacks the kinds of glitches and bugs you're finding in other more recent RPG games like Fallout 3. It is a well polished, well designed experience that someone without jaded expectations can enjoy. The only major thing I can even begin to knock the game for is
There isn't a single boss fight
It's not as good as the original Fable, I'll leave it at that.

Storywise it was highly disappointing, it just felt like the first part of any zelda game, where you collect 3 of something and it unlocks the next 5 dungeons, only it was just the 3 part. The combat was boring and way too easy, and it had numerous bugs, one of which halted my story advancement so I just watched my roommate beat it. 7.5 to me.
