I don't know if this was the reason it was cancelled or not, but I do know that it was a game sheep were hyping and its one less third party game the wii will have. And I thought the wiis success would make it a hotbed for third party titles?
To big of an assumptions with nothing to back it up. While possible (Anything is possible at this point, no info) we should wait and see if the company shares any info.
It hasn't been canceled. The main developer is NiBRiS. As new developers, they collaborated with Frontline Studios. That collaboration has ended. That's it. For all we know this means the game is far enough in development that they no longer need the help of Frontline. That's it.
Wasn't Saddness being developed by an independent studio with little to no resources and hardly any reputation? I don't care. As long as Wii continues its success and I get $50 games I'm happy.
Sadness was probably cancelled because Sadness wasn't good enough. It sounds like it was a bunch of neat ideas that never came close to becoming an actual game.
