Was there ever a Suda51 game that sold up to 1 million?

I always wondered why Suda51 games never sell well. Killer7 was awesome, yet it sold poorly. No More Heroes was awesome, yet it only sold 400,000. So my question is, was there ever a Suda51 game that sold up to 1 million?

As far as I know, nope. NMH was his best selling game by far. I would assume his games are too niche to sell amazingly.

His games don't appeal to a broad demographic and they feature styles and motifs foreign to many people. In other words, Suda 51 makes niche games.

In my opinion killer 7 was not awesome, you can't defend a poorly designed game and say the art effect makes up for it.

The man's games are ridiculously zany and quirky. Those two things usually don't add up to mainstream success. Also, the ads are nowhere to be seen, people don't know about it. He's really niche, but the guy makes some fantastic ass games!

I personally loved the gameplay (not as much as the story), but I guess it's all just a matter of opinion, yeah. Killer7 was definitely a love it/hate it kind of game.

Hm anyway, almost all of his games are niche titles and only six of his games have been released outside of Japan (and of those, the only 'known' ones are Killer7 and No More Heroes)...so it isn't too surprising that they don't sell well.

He was involved with a few of the Fire Pro Wrestling games. I'm sure they sold a million.
