Xbox Series S running Watch Dogs with ray-tracing.

I know here at Gamespot we don't like to have people with financial difficulties playing next gen games unless they are ready to get a second job. But anyway it's cool seeing a $300 machine running next gen features.

DF confirmed WDL using low level RT on both Series X and PS5 compared to Spidey MM, would be surprised if it cannot run RT on the already weak Series S.

I don't know what video you saw but the ratio is clearly 16:9, that is a simply fact my friend.

You're right, just looked strange on my ultrawide for a minute.

A $300 console is using RT, that's impressive no matter how you dice it.

For a sec this video reminded me of the Outer Worlds "running" on the Switch

I think it looks great. The Series S is looking like a big winner!

Too bad you won't notice the ray tracing because of the terrible voice-acting, ham-fisted writing, weird animations and character design, and gaudy clothing.

One might say too good to be true.

I understand. The blur, low frame rate, low FOV, and 16:9 can all be rather shocking to an ultrawide PC gamer.

Looks quite good on a $300 console and with ray tracing to boot.

An ultrawide gamer, you mean like me? I saw the video on my ultrawide 21:9 3440 X 1440 monitor and clearly noticed it's ratio as 16:9. With 16:9 there are small black bars on each side, with 4:3 it's more like small screen in the middle with huge black bars on each side. However, I understand how someone can get confused. I wish all the content was standard 21:9 because I think it's vastly superior for gaming and even movies.

I'm an ultrawide PC gamer myself as well. Isn't it awesome gaming in ultrawide?

Defense looks and runs better than PS4 Pro. Also cheaper, next gen features. Not a bad purchase if you’re looking for affordable access to next gen.

Looks like they should have skipped RT and just used SSR with higher resolution.

I dread to think what the performance will be.

and if you read the tweet the images come from ALL systems are experiencing the same issue (PS5 included) so it is a development issue not a system issue

Yes, at 30fps too! LOL. Oh consoles... always trying to achieve things they can't do properly. 4K, ray tracing, etc.. It is sad and funny at the same time.

Well if PS4 pro and Xbox One X can do raytracing at 1080p, I don't see why the XSS couldn't ..

I see it on both. It's not bad actually. I'm not a Watch Dogs fan but I see the RT on both and S isn't that bad but this doesn't mean every S game is coming with RT but...I'm impressed.
