Way better gameplay > negligable lead in graphics (Forza 3 v. GT5)

Graphics>Everything. They won't admit it, but it's the only reason why Forza is in the lime light right now. The second one was fantastic, but since it had subpar visuals, it was quickly dismissed and rarely discussed.

Note: That's not how I feel about it though, I don't care if a game looks like Pong, if it's fun - I'm playing it.

It's hilarious that people are going on and on about the graphics of these two games (I personally think GT5s are better but not by a lot) when the real issue with these games is gameplay which Forza has bested the GT series at for the last 2 titles. What make anyone think that Polyphony are gonna do it this time? More tracks and cars (Tuning and parts swap gives the Forza series a bigger selection IMO) does not equal a better game. Forza 2 which had WAY less cars and tracks was still better than any previous GT games due to the better gameplay mechanics. What we get with Forza 3 is better graphics (much better), way more tracks and cars (icing, really), old great features made even more robust (tuning, parts, car art, etc.) and of course improved gameplay. I'd be surprised if GT5 matched Forza 3 and flabbergasted if it happened to be a better game.XanaduTheBand

Insanely similar in gameplay. Only thing Forza offers is more variety of customisation and damage. You can swing it what ever way you like with science magazine has more scientific analysis n bla bla put into forza, matter of fact is, you get a stock car from GT n same stock car from forza, drive it around the track, you willl be cornering and breaking at almost identical speeds with similar laptimes. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial. Do not get me wrong, both games has its up n downs, but i without a doubt will be buying both.

We will just have to wait & see.

I want to see how well damage is done in GT5.

These threads are sooooooo effing dumb. Not a single person has played both games, save for maybe the PD people who played forza 3 the other week. So unless your a PD dev, you cant be saying one game is better than the other when NOBODY has played ANYTHING. GOD.

Personally, I didn't find the gameplay in Forza (1) to be better than that of GT4. Okay, so there are more customization options in Forza, but then I think the actual driving and attention to detail given to the tracks balances that out - they're on an equal footing, it depends what you are into.

Anyway, as has been said, this is a stupid topic to be discussing now, since neither games are out yet. Good to see we've started already, though - oh, I simply can't wait for the real fun to begin, when they've both been released. (I anticipate coming down on the GT side, but we'll see...)

They will both be great games im sure lets just leave it at that. I thnk GT will have the better gameplay which is the most important part of a game for me, graphics are just a bonus.djsifer01

what the hell are you talking about? both games look great and both lems and cows hype it alike and where did you get the notion than gt's gameplay doesn't "match" forza's, they are the same same game! It like compering madden football to2ks past entries, both deliver the same experience. I really don't understand this whole fight between gt fans and forza fans really, the only time these games have competed was back when the first forza and gt4 were released, forza only scored a few points better because ofonline abilities, if not I'm sure both games would have scored similarly. I also find it sad that most people here that talk about these games don't really care about racing games and only use it for sw material really, if you actually were so much of a racing fan as you all sound then you would buy and support both games instead of having these silly fights but of course that's my opinion.

they are racing sims, the gameplay sucks anyways, that's why ppl argue about the graphics, soon it will be the quality of the sound
