BE NEXT-GEN's Wii!!!
So sheeps should relax and stop comparing Wii-U with X360/PS3. Wii-U supposed to be next - gen... Get it over my friends... Youll end up missing MAJOR AAA MULTIS and titles once again.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Who buys a Nintendo console for multiplats anyway? You buy it for superior quality 1st party exclusives.
Stop comparing them to PS3/X360 then... It is kinda ""stupid"" to do imho and if thats not a strong indicator what is Wii-U all about then what is?Who buys a Nintendo console for multiplats anyway? You buy it for superior quality 1st party exclusives.

I'm not comparing it to anything. I don't even think it has comparable games to PS3/360 (except the multiplats). It's simply a different console for different taste.
Or collecting dust like Wii did all these years by Nintendo fans till a major first party title release.. Then on the "dust hall" again. Wii for many owners was the official Dust collector of current gen. Even if it had some great first party titles.Be awesome.

I wish everyone were so honest as you but.... People insist over and over... Wii-U better than PS3/X360 so it will kickass!!! Therefore Wii is the dust collector of current gen.

I got a Wii in perfect condition at a pawn shop for about $30 . I feel sorry for anyone who spent $200+ on one.
I had a few games, but mostly just played SSBB, Xenoblade, The Last Story and Mario games. That's all it was good for, really.
I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo first-party games. The WiiU will be no exception. Almost everyone I know (including my kids) are the same way. 3rd-party games will be a bonus.

Exactly my point. Thanks for your inputYOu know what I care about... enjoying my favorite Nintendo 1st Party titles in HD... the odd gem, "ZombiU", that I can't find anywhere else. That is what my Wii will be for, thats all I need it to be.
I have a PC for a system when I need my eye candy.
PS. ZOmbiU looks amazing btw. graphically and in terms of sheer fun
Bro , we talking the same thing. That Wii-U will be next gens Wii... means some great first party titles , maybe 1-2-3 third party and thats it... You will be "forced" to buy another system , its either PC or other console , in order to get the best games overall from third party publishers. For example ( this is an example !!!! ) who would want to miss GTA6 or RE7 , Street fighter 5 or new COD games , New Dead space games etc etc... the list is soooo huge really for next-gen games , let alone the new IPs that will release. So sheeps should relax. Comparing Wii-u to X360/Ps3 is a bad , really bad sign imho for the future of Wii-u as far as games goes ( and with what weve seen in E3 2012 , oh boy.. disaster )YOu know what I care about... enjoying my favorite Nintendo 1st Party titles in HD... the odd gem, "ZombiU", that I can't find anywhere else. you know what i care about....is when the Wii U come out because i will be getting it. not because of its graphically power, but becasue where else can you play a nintendo game. and we all know, nintendo has never been a leader in graphics, but a leader in innovative gaming. and when i get ZombiU and pikmin 3, i will never once complain about how it looks. anyone who actually care about graphics, should be playing PC games and not arguing in system wars about inferior consoles.da_chubBro , im not talking about graphics. Im talking about games. Missing major future next-gen titles because of hardware restrictions once more.

you tend to buy a ninty console for ninty games.Everything else is a bonus, a lot of ninty fans who love them dont care bout horsepower and such.
Yeah, that's what people brough NES's and SNES's for, no one brought third-party games on those. Yeah they did. N64 and Gamecube=your logic. The Wii had more third-party support than both of them.Who buys a Nintendo console for multiplats anyway? You buy it for superior quality 1st party exclusives.

idk about you guys but ill be planning on getting the wiiu/xbox720/ps4/getting an expensive rig (cause i want too  ) and try to buy all the games i can for them.
As it stands, we know that the WiiU is more powerful than the PS3 and the 360, by just how much is a little iffy because most of the games shown so far where either originally intended to be Wii games, ports, or developers not wanting to put too much effort in due to been unsure of the how successful 3rd party games on the system will be, so until we start seeing real exclusives for the WiiU that aren't just bumped up Wii games, we won't really be able to tell.
We also don't really know how much more powerful the PS4 and the 720 will be.
Sony took the power route this Gen and it came back to bite them, the system has been the "worst" of this gen in terms of sales, at the beginning because of it's unreasonable price, and later on just because a lot moved over to the 360 because of said original pricing. It's also had the worst version of a lot of multi-platform titles, take Skyrim for example, the game was unplayable on PS3 at launch (I don't know if that was ever fixed), and while most weren't as bad as that, a lot where still "worse" on PS3 because it was more powerful, and they also lost a lot of 3rd party "exclusives", such as Final Fantasy, Tekken and Devil May Cry. Honestly, the only reason Sony has really survived this gen is the same reason why Nintendo survived the N64 and GameCube days, there 1st party exclusives. I can't see them taking as big a risk this time, the system will be more powerful than WiiU, but I don't think it'll be by all that much, with all there recent money trouble Sony can't really afford it.
As for Microsoft, who knows what the hell they'll end up doing, they did well with the 360 at the start, good price, decent games, and where snatching Sony's exclusives left and right, but now they seem so focused on have Xbox be a system that can do everything they seem to have forgotten that it's first and foremost a games console and when they do remember it's a games console, they completely ignore the people who the system was originally made for, and instead focus on Kinect. I honestly see the 720 or what ever they'll end up calling the next Xbox been more likely to be the next gens Wii (gimmick console, that appeals to Soccer Moms, and grandparents), rather than the WiiU, which I think could actually take the 360's position.

Judgement-Law
N64 and GC had 3rd party games too you know. NES and SNES might have had a better 3rd party support but most people got them because of Nintendo games first and foremost. I don't think 3rd party/multiplat games were ever big system sellers when it comes to Nintendo platforms (cept for maybe Street Fighter 2 on the SNES).
Wii had better 3rd party support than 360 and PS3 too, it just missed out on some big multiplats.
