PS3 is only a better console when it has at least as many quality games as the 360. Until then, you have no basis for that statement. The best youcan doright now is say that the PS3 is a better hardware value for the money.

dont worry, theyll come. just look at uncharted, mgs4, kz2, ut3, gt5 then theres the improving multiplat games...all it needs is games and maybe that firmware 2 + Home then the PS3 will be a truly great machine.,

Agreed, it is a remarkably cheep blu-ray player. But I don't play games on it. THe ps3 is in the living room to play blu-ray. The 360 is in my room where I game.

I suppose if you want to look under a microscope and number crunch tech specs then you could tenatively conclude that it's better, but from a practical standpoint, you have a console that is seriously lacking in quality games. As opposed to the 360 which has a great library as it stands that continues to grow. And when you say "for now" that's making the unbased assumption that the PS3 will suddenly overcome the quality of the 360's library, which I just don't see happening. Sure, they have some good looking titles on deck, but I don't think that any one of them has the capacity to suddenly 1-up the 360's library, which you somehow think. The PS3 might have Uncharted, MGS4 and Ratchet and Clank, but for those the 360 has Mass Effect and Halo 3 as pure exclusives in addition to Bioshock, Alan Wake and other great looking mutual PC releases. The 360 has also shown to handle multiplatform games at about twice the frame rate, which from what we've seen pretty much nullifies any percieved technical superiority that the PS3 touts. Superior Blu ray player- yes. Superior gaming console- not by a long shot.bman784
