I think thats what Nintendo was thinking when they come up with thier wii witch project. just trick people and make loads of cash. they knew the devs would make games for any fast selling console. so they made the wii. quick easy cash .

agree?

uhhhh....no? Because if you notice, Nintendo themselves are putting out very polished enjoyable games. Go talk to Ubi and other 3rd party devs though, because this thread is for them. =/

No. Nintendo saw what the market wanted - not what hardcore, elitist whiners wanted, what the market wanted. And saw that HD was not the norm. Saw that fillrates didn't get their hearts racing. Saw that looking like an idiot while playing with friends was a hit, and saw that cost is a concern. Basically, saw that Karaoke was more popular than DVD-A and SACD.

So, they moved to supply to that market. I'm not particularly interested in the Wii myself, though I know I'll end up with one in my living room sooner or later (as in, whenever those things are fully available). I'm part of that minority that does have HD and liked the word "fillrate", so I do have a 360.

Agreed. While they are supporting the system afterwards, the marketing campaign, by all means gimmicky controller (regardless of if you like it), and the instant system profit point toward quick cash under the guise of "we're different!"

You know, I've been thinking almost the same thing as the TC. I've been thinking that developers are purposely making silly, easy-to-develop games for the Wii because they know that the Wii is a fad, so they hope that their games catch on and join in.

What is this Wii Witch Project theory I been hearing about? I think I ran over it on another thread. Another crazy thought about the Wii, I assume?
