EDIT: don't be so zealous, it's making your points look bad. Everyone did think nintendo was going to bomb, and they are performing brilliantly. They may not actually have the best console overall, yet, but their handheld is bliss(so to all the people who will come in and bash the wii, do not forget the ds is a nintendo product too).. and either way, they are destroying most peoples expectations. This is quite a feat, and no matter how anybody wants to spin it, it's great for nintendo and quite surprising for the industry.

Why do we care to label games as hardcore; as if some are better then others just because of this label. A 'hardcore' gamer is someone devoted to games. In that case, they would love and appreciate a variety of games. That includes your casual friendly games like halo and gears to your difficult as all hell games like fire emblem on the wii and contra on the ds.

Aren't you being a little hypocritical ? Sony came up and crushed Nintendo when everyone said they wouldn't be able to back in the day and now you are basically doing the same thing ?
