It's not for everyone.
Every Video that you might See Kinect in you will see a group of either 2-4 people in the Living Room where you'll have enough Room to go on.
Most Gamers probably won't have that room nor will always have 2-4 people playing with them in the same Room.
Wii and Move do about the same but heck There are some commercials for Wii and Move that shows only one person in one room, that's probably not as big as the Living room, playing a Game. so you can play Wii and Move in a Small Room.
Many of us are afraid that we can't do this with Kinect and from what we are seeing....no we can't.
I don't know if it's just me but that seemed like the opening ceremony for the winter olympics at vancouver with the interactive floor, the ponchos and the video projections on the wall but it's all pertaining to Kinect.
If kinect fails with all this advertising and spending i might feel some remorse for the lemmings.........nah
They should combine Kinect with a VR headset to give the ultimate personnal experience and going completly in the opposite direction of the Kinect current strategy... Kinect to date is a commercial failure... motion tracking is made to make the player the center part of the game... but your not... you are in your room standing facing a fixed screen on the wall... you are not in the game... with a VR setup you are in the center of the game looking every where at your virtual world simply by turrning your head...
and will be one reason why Kinect will sell so much, because people want to make youtube videos of goofing around

You didn't watch the Oprah show with Kinect, huh? This thing is going to sell. It's just like an eyetoy, but the casuals don't care or know this.

... and the real gamers are not interested in it... Kinect as it is... is a failure...Kinect is cool .... as an alternative to PC mouse..... but not for most REAL GAMING.....
Kinect is also an alternative to Oprah Winfrey fans and THE BIGGEST LOSER who didn't make the cut in that reality show

There comes another delusional hater...and the next......
... you are delusional... ms is delusional... People dont want it... Kinect will not sell cause people does not like... you cant dictate what people should like...Really? But when I look at the PRE ORDER NUMBERS, I see a different world which I live in. I don't know which planet are you living on now.

... those pre-orders you talk about are to fill walmart and bestbuy of this world...[QUOTE="TheXFiles88"][QUOTE="clr84651"]
Kinect = biggest joke this gen, confirmed!

Wow, there are stilldelusional fanboys running around on these forums?
I detect irony :PReally? Then why don't you watch this video and tell me how you feel about the Move. That stick is even bigger than the kid's arm and it was really painful to watch that kid holding that god damn big stick to do that commercial. Also, Sony fanboys and haters even complain about the room size for Kinect when this video shows even how ridiculous the size of those rooms is. This is what I called "THE IRONY"

... those pre-orders you talk about are to fill walmart and bestbuy of this world...Yea I know, those numbers mean nothing but if the news were released by Sony, then the world would have been on FIRE.......As I stated before, whenever a fanboy speaks, he has just turned the world upside down.

But Kinect is kinda pricey. I mean, for the crowd they're going for...it's really expensive.I saw the time and left. Jesus, I can't watch 10 seconds of this thing, why would I want to buy it. Hope it fails.
ugh... it's soooooo bad so so bad.
maybe something interesting will come of it someday like.... ummmmm.... ok i'm drawing a blank...
The tech is cool but Kinect is not practical. djsifer01... the Kinect should be practical only if it is in combination of a VR headset... MS should run away from this Kinet strategy of holding a no force feedback invisible racing wheel hurting my arms keeping them up in the air with no support... I want back a real force feedback racing wheel with a VR headset and the Kinect motion capture... I REPEAT... IWANT MY FORCE FEEDBACK RACING WHEEL BACK... YOUR RACING GAMES WERE ADVERTISED AS PLAYABLE WITH A STEERING WHEEL... I CALLED IT CONSUMER NEGLIGENCE!:x
All this Kinect story sickens me... I really think to switch to Sony again... before my fifth rrod...
i really cant see how cows can make fun of kinect so much when there is a ton of videos to see how dumb move really is.... look at the fighting game for move. and that wizard game:roll: i still think kinect will blow move out of the water come november 4th
what:!: you had 4 rrod and switched back to ms from sony??? all because of ms trying something new and not do a easy copy to ruin your current core games with wacky tacked on motion controls:?All this Kinect story sickens me... I really think to switch to Sony again... before my fifth rrod...

You're right.
You know, people are gonna own this thing in a couple weeks. They might as well get an honest reveal over with.
I will be one of them, I am buying it for my son.Yeah that was sad. Microsoft acts like they have something big going on but kinect is fail. It's eye toy all over again which isn't even fun. I played eye toy for like an hour once at my gfs and was like yea thats enough. I mean this is more embarassing than the wii reveal and wii music.
Just how I thought it would be, extremely primitive. Wasn't impressive at all. No navigation control, no camera control, and no force feedback. The idea of your entire body being the controller is a poor one. It's not going to work on the majority of genres, mostly on-rails, like that star wars game. It's probably going to sell millions because it was on Oprah and lemms will inevitably pass it off as a success. When it's just a piece of junk camera with a mic.
