To push the PS5 and show Microsoft how next gen graphics are done...i still want GG to match the 2005 e3 fake trailer concerning A.I and animations....that would be surreal, expecially since the PS5 should be strong enough to handle it now.

I had fun with KZ2's campaign and online back in the day.
It felt pretty nearly unplayable the last time I went back to it though. Didn't like 3 and Shadowfall was pretty meh so I quit a few missions in.
I'd rather see Resistance make a comeback, maybe something set between 1 and 2. Or they could do a reboot/remake like they did with Ratchet. Didn't really like the direction that Resistance 2 and 3 went.
Killzone is the epitome of grey, bland, generic FPS. Let it die, the devs make robot dino games now, infinitely better!
I disagree. I thought the first 3 Killzones had a good aesthetic. The enemy design in particular was great, and the muted colours contrasted nicely with the blood and glowing eyes of the enemy.
It's a game about war, it's meant to look bleak and lifeless. Not everything has to be vibrant and colourful to be good.
No, please no. These games are the kind of a filler i don't want Sony to waste their time on. Killzone as a franchise is the weak side of Sony exclusives. We shall never see another one of these.
I liked the dieselpunk design of the worlds in KZ 2 and 3, I would prefer that over the cleaner aesthetic world design of Shadow Fall.
Killzone 2 had really nice art direction. Grey and dull is such a simplification from someone with no eye for detail. People are dumb. The gameplay still didn't grab me, though. I dropped it.

Same here. That would be AMAZING!!! They can just reboot the entire series and call it Killzone instead of a sequel. After seeing what Epic can do with the PS5, I don't know why this can't be possible. Heck, they might be able to make it look even better than this. You never know.
Rumor has it that Guerrilla has a 2nd team working on a shooter (well not really a rumor since they were hiring a lot of tactical shooting talent within recent years). Speculation has it probably either SOCOM or Killzone. I'm all about SOCOM myself, but you never know.
@hardwenzen: killzone>>>>horizon dawn no question
horizon dawn is just a generic third person witcher clone.
killzone not allowing u to shoot while jumping was half unique plus the weight of your character and it's gritty atmosphere was pretty damn nice also.
Horizon is not a TW clone, its an Ass Creed clone. Get your facts straight, bruh.
Outside of graphics, NOTHING was unique or nice in KZ. Created to compete with Halo, failed to do so, and now you don't even need a game to compete with Halo because its, well, a long story.
I would like to see Sony attempt another shooter it's been a hell of a long time since the last one. Rather see Resistance as opposed to Killzone. It was always a more fun and interesting shooter than Killzone, more akin to Half Life and was far more inventive in it's level design, enemy and weapon design.
I personally do not like the series and I'd rather them focus on Horizon 2. Good graphics can't help boring level design and gameplay.
I don’t know. I tried playing those PS3 games. They were blurry, frame rate was atrocious and they weren’t fun to play. ShadowFall was fine for a launch title. I didn’t finish it though out of boredom. We don’t need more of that.
We did learn an interesting bit out of the production of the game though. It took Guerrilla Games less than 2 1/2 years to make Killzone ShadowFall from scratch and have it ready for the PS4 launch.
The original Killzone on PS2 was so bad I was surprised when I saw they were making a sequel. I fell for the hype with Killzone2 and the game was shit. They focused so much on selling the game on graphics that they forgot to optimise it enough to reduce the horrendous input lag that fanboys called "weight simulation" /rofl.
I cant comment on KZSF, never played it and never will.
No more killzone we need: socom us navy seals, Warhawk. Make them multiplayer only, no sp.
Agree. Socom would at least have a decent online community to play it, I would say the same for WarHawk but that died a painfully slow death on PS3, which is a shame because it was damn good.
Killzone is Ok, but Guerrilla has proven to be able to make better games, I'd give them a chance with some other franchises
Only if they make something unique out of it, like say Spec Ops: The Line. We already have the twin flaming towers of mediocre penile compensation simulators Snore of Duty and Prattlefield.
Multiplayer was fun. It isn’t anywhere near as good as Halo, but it’s a fun way of doing CoDs brand of multiplayer action.
Guerilla on a technologically impressive FPs could be neat. No faith in the campaign that shit would be hella boring given the Killzone games and even Horizon.
Never was a Killzone fan. Sony doesn’t really need a first part FPS as third parties make enough of them.
I remember the first one on the ps2 and I remember being impressed coming from Xbox FPSs. Sony was struggling to have a decent FPS on their system. They managed to port over Half Life and even that felt poorly done on the ps2. Cold Winter was another ps2 FPS exclusive (made by a third party) that was horribly done. They even tried to port over the Tom Clancy FPSs (Rainbow Six 3, Ghost Recon) and they were even worse. Killzone comes along and sony finally had a decent FPS on their hands. It looked and played ok. You can tell someone was pushing the hardware to its absolute limits. Although those limits showed because frame rates struggled in heated moments and the graphics weren’t exactly crisp. But there was fun to be had. Killzone online was a sad story though as the ps2’s online limitations amplified how bad the service was. But at least they tried.
2 on the ps3 was much better. So much so that it didn’t feel like Killzone because it’s signatures were the gun taking up a quarter of the screen and the sluggish controls were practically gone. A main part of Killzone’s gameplay was controller latency with what was going on on screen. You literally had to learn how to play that way.
