from my understanding when a game flops its hyped AAAA and gets AAA or AA to me a flop is when a game is hyped AAA and doesn't get one A what do you think?

A Game Flops when it doesn't meet the Hype in Scores and Sales.
If a Game Flops in Scores but doesn't in Sales then it only Flopped Critically.
If a Game Flops in Sales but doesn't in Scores then it only Flopped Financially.
honestly, flop should mean whether it failed to make development money back... but i give up on trying to be a voice of reason...
that sounds like the definition of a film flop. It is a thing in SW for teh ownage. It can be so stupid at times I'll say that. Like in Alan Wake's case or Heavy Rain's. Both good experiences to me, but thrown around by fanboys like real insults.honestly, flop should mean whether it failed to make development money back... but i give up on trying to be a voice of reason...

And how will you know how big the development cost was?
and if you flop both in scores and sales, double flop?A Game Flops when it doesn't meet the Hype in Scores and Sales.

A Flop is a Flop, Even if it Flops Critically or Financially or Both.

I just started playing Alan Wake, coincidentally, and he does have a pretty slick jacket. :PWe should redefine "Jacket King" it's not quite clear to me...

I wear the jacket king :)
If the game in question is an exclusive for the platform a system warrior "hates", said system warrior must be always alert, save screenshots from all the official and unofficial hype threads related to that game. If the game gets a score that's 0.5 below the most voted hype score, then it is his duty to make dozens of threads and hijack other threads, reminding those bastards that chose to buy that other horrible platform that their exclusive game FLOPPED.
That's how it works.
Ive always felt this wayhonestly, flop should mean whether it failed to make development money back... but i give up on trying to be a voice of reason...

And how are you going to know it managed to do it? Are you just going to guess based on sales, with no clue of how much the actual development cost was?

*shrugs* I just know in other message boards i go to in terms of other things like music they usually call things a flop when it has under sold or didnt push any units. not because it didnt meet a certain "hype" in terms of a review. but to each is own[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]Let's vote on it. I say No.HarlockJCIt would not matter how the vote is. System wars does not like change. Do you have any idea how many times people have tied to change the nicknames?I wasn't being serious. I can only imagine though. :P
Biggest flops: Lair, Too Human, Killzone 1, GT5, Zelda.... Normal Flops: Alan Wake, Uncharted 1 (don't kill me lol i think it was hyped AAA wasnt it?), Mass Effect 1walkingdreamWasn't Epic Mickey a pretty big flop?
