I had discussion on Skype about XBone DRM and i notice we missing one of most impotent pieces of puzzle... how we gonna active games from disc on XBone? In order to anti-used game system to work you need something that distinguish all copies of the game, a code for example. If you know how optical discs are mass produced, you know that you can't place unique data on each disc as production is matrix based with a master copy. Whole system looks the same as Steam, where disc is just fast install and disc versions of Steam games usually has a code in it which is more impotent then the disc it self as you just type in code and there you go you can download. But how this will wotk on XBone? Also how this gonna apply to this partner program for used games stores, how you gonna deactivate the game and activale from the same disc... if disc is even needed for that? ot you can transfed digital copy without a disc? Or maybe code is printed on disc, maybe it even have reader inside drive to read it for you? but then how i be sure that soembody dont use code from used copy ocne it reactivated? I think thats interesting topic to discuss :).... or else this been explained somewhere?

About the reactivation if you get rid of the game, it's tied to your account, so the GS employee deletes the game from your account and reactivates the disk when you turn it in, or something.  That's about it I think.  That's what keeps people from getting one copy and then downloading it on all your friends consoles.

If pubs want to restrict used games then that's their decision.

The XBone has a tube that you have to put a drop of your own blood into so it can scan your DNA to make sure you are actually who you say you are.

Or when you want to trade in the game, you put the disk in and tell the console to delete the game from your library and reactivate the code in the disk.  I don't know really, just ideas.

The game case may have an activation code on it. Once the code is inserted into the aware machine, that game cannot be divorced with it. But married games can be shared with ten other "family" members with the permission of the state (MS). Positive spin on this is a deterrent for burglary. There is no benefit for a thief to sell stolen XBone games because they will be married with you. Plus if you keep your wife or husband games close to the XBone's eye, it will record the crime taking place, thanks to the always watching feature.
