Yeah, but I think everyone kinda saw that coming. People expecting Sony to have something to top the FFXIII announcement weren't being realistic. The whole Sony conference was pretty average, and I think if it hadn't been for their big announcement, the MS conference would have been right there with them.

A lot of people actually enjoyed the Sony conference. MS has definitely stole the show with the announcement, but their cenference was pretty bad.

you act as if you can play ff13 this year. the announcement was big but overall the conference was boring and the big announcement won't affect anyone untill 2009-10. i betting 2010 in america now. netflixs seemed cool when i heard the word free, but it turned out to good to be true. avatars same as nintendo and may just be a hit and miss. gears 2 already knew this. re 5 i can get that on the ps3.

We already knew about 4 of the 5 bolded things. They didn't show anything new with them. MS actually showed game footage, not just CGI. And I'm sorry, but new PSP titles does not make their conference better. Christ, cows keep reaching new lows.

I'm not a fanboy and I agree whole-heartedly. Sony was boring. Crap for 99% of the time, then a less than impressive GoW3 trailer, a crackdown knockoff, and a game taht I hold high hopes for in MAG (this is where i disagree with him), but am going to be cautious cause 256 seems like large lag

There were no release dates at Sony's conference, and Sony still hasn't released some of their games that they showed 3 years ago for god sakes!

Microsoft's strategy is better. When they announce or show games, its coming out within the year or maybe two. The wait is much more tolerable, and no one feels jerked around. I'm sure MS have some new games in the works but its way to early to begin the hype train. Believe me when I say that in the long run its better to not have 10 new announcements.
