Well the first FF game this gen goes to the Wii

WiiWare hit today in Japan and with it they got:

Dr. Mario, Star Soldier R, Pokemon Ranch, FFCC: My Life as a King, Angel's Solitaire, Lonpos, Okiraku Ping Pong, Mojipittan, Animal Panic screens here

New FF:CC in May for $15.00 I enjoyed the first one sign me up for this one and a new Dr. Mario.

Yeah I know it a side quest but if the game is good in the end who cares.

Maybe I should have said the first non port of a FF comes to the Wii. FFXI was on the PS2.

yah but even then, FFXI is more of an FF game then a building simulator is.

Interestingly enough, this seems to be the first pay to play Wii game as well. There are additional features that can be downloaded (DLC's advent at Nintendo). As the game is already the highest priced WiiWare game (at $15) the cost to have all content may be more in line with a DS game ($30).

I have no info on what the DLC is or the cost of it as it's only been out a short time and more info hasn't been circulated. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on this, though and keep the community informed as news comes my way.

Thanks for the good read Harlock. Nintendo really knows what they are doing when it comes to capturing the casual market. I like many of their business models.

ps: I'd be curious to know their business model for DLC if anyone knows or has a linky.

Some of the sidequest IMO are just as good. I love the first FFCC on the GC and it sold over a million copies for the GC.

I would avoid FFCC:YK&TPL because it has... THE RED RING OF DOOM.

No that is for download extras....After you already bought the game if you want to add on to it you can buy that. See the Wiipoint cost on the bottom of screen.

Final Fantasy VI was rereleased on the GBA and FF III was released for the first time in America on the DS.

lol, that's the most expensive game on the Xbox 360 there is. The reason? It's an MMORPG so you have to pay for XBL and the costs of the MMORPG itself. Simply ridiculous.

Final Fantasy III? It was totally overhauled and remade for the DS, had online and 3D graphics, and its predecessor was only released in Japan from what I remember so it was actually a totally new game for North America and Europe.
