Hi everyone,

We have some news to announce.

First, I am sorry for the bad news - the Crysis single player demo will now be available everywhere on October 26th, 2007.
We are taking some extra time to make sure you that you have an amazing experience but also we did not want to risk the release date of Crysis at this stage. To get the game into your hands by November the 16th, we had to make this call.

Now the good news - the big surprise. The SP demo will be released with our CryEngine 2 - Sandbox 2 game editor, giving the community the opportunity to get familiar with the vast amount of tools they will have at their disposal four weeks before we ship, something we have always wanted to do.

This is an exciting time for us at the studio as the development of Crysis comes to an end and we are only a few weeks from Gold Master.
We appreciate your patience and are looking forward to getting Crysis into your hands on November 16th.

Edit: Also for those that have the multiplayer beta like me we get a little longer to get used to the gameplay.

heres the way I see it...while that may be out now...in a month....after they have exhusted the single player and default multiplayer...they will start posting pics of forge and talking about the "inovation" and all that.....its at that point that we hermits start posting pics of the sandbox 2 editor (which even the lemmings admit is far more powerfull the forge)

PC gaming is for losers man. I got a real job and don't have time for over complicated stuff. I have enough stuff to do with MS Access at work and I do not have time or the desire to be farting around with that stuff at home.

Pretty lame ownage. A shame though. My heart goes out to people who were anxiously awaiting the demo.

although it may not be as simple as a console, pc gaming is no way complicated (now a days). if you are unable do anything which is just a little bit complicated than pop n play, then you have no right to call other people loosers.

The beta does run a bit more slugish than I'd like it to, but it sure is fun if you get on a server where people know what to do. I mean it is hella fun. I played last night for like 2 hours or more.
