About the same as Samsung and a lot cheaper.
Cheaper yes, but about the same? No. Westinghouse sticks with 1000:1. While my samsung is 4000:1. Many of there others even go beyond that. That's not "about the same".

Ahhh, so you don't know. Look up the difference between static and dynamic contrast ratios. Samsung loves to inflate their numbers.

But isn't a 37" Samsung equivalent well into $2000?
Sometimes $799 makes a big difference, and he still gets to enjoy HD gaming. (I have 1000:1 Viewsonic and I wouldn't exactly call it unwatchable. Still stunning to me)
